Dungeon of Doom crypt with Nolzur figures

So I picked up some Nolzur figures to paint, and the City of the Dead set of monuments and tombs. Decided to throw together a very quick Dungeon of Doom crypt. I swapped things around a lot as I worked, and I never got a full shot of my favorite version (which was very similar to this one, only it h...

Re: New gargoyle/grotesque?

Thanks for the info, everyone! That flags and gargoyles set may have to go on my "some day" list. I don't think I can justify it for just the one piece, not when I have so many flags and gargoyles already. At the same time, if there's one decoration I always want more of, it's gargoyles.

New gargoyle/grotesque?

Maybe I was supposed to get these and just didn't by mistake, but am I wrong in thinking that the new Construct a Castle Sets include a gargoyle attachment that was shown during the KS but never released before? I think it is now part of one of the complex corner configurations. It's a very cool gar...

Re: Video and Photos of Builds

These are awesome, guys! Loving looking at these cool builds.

Here's a vague assortment of some of mine. I honestly can't remember if I consider these my "best," but there's some neat stuff in here, I thought.

Re: Kickstarter 6.66

Whelp, I was wrong about them not offering an underlighting system. From the Greetings thread: Please note that any answers I give might be subject to change as we get final pricing and try to balance affordability with coolness. Right now the plan is to cast the pieces in a translucent material, a...

Re: Show us your best Firescapes!!

Some random Hellscape photos from, yikes, over a decade ago at this point I believe. Some of these are with a mix of DF SCI-FI, I really liked those ones. I even included a classic 60's shakycam "Hell Planet Quake!" shot.

Re: Hellscape at DnD live 2019

Curious as everyone else about the lighting (my guess is that there will be traditional LED pieces like the LED floor from KS4, and the rest of the lighting we saw in these was just a UV light making the colors glow. I do think the lava river looks TEH AWESOME, and that lavafall is absolutely perfec...

Re: Dungeons of Six Months Later

The reflective silver on the mirror is just a rectangle I cut out from a sheet of reflective silver I bought at AC Moore. It works beautifully. Unfortunately, I have enough left over for... probably roughly 100 other mirrors. ;)

Re: Dungeons of Six Months Later

Oh, and I looked it up -- the 1e art I had in mind was actually the cover art for the original D&D Basic Set, by Erol Otus. He did a lot of stuff in the early days, and his very fluid (and occasionally verging on awesomely gross and bubbly) style is instantly recognizable. I thought the Nolzur carri...

Re: Dungeons of Six Months Later

Oops, THESE are the larger monsters. Those were the arcade shots. I REALLY, really, REALLY like how those came out. I just think it's awesome to have a row of arches through which you get a smaller area that's partly circumscribed as a separate room, but also partly not. Anyhoo -- larger monsters, i...
