Re: Harbor Town Kickstarter by Miniature Building Authority

I have the Spanish Main buildings. They are great. I use them for pirates, Zorro, WW2 Mediterranean, Old West, etc. The fishing stuff is too expensive for my tastes.

Re: Which do you prefer? a little of a lot OR a lot of a little

I would like smaller, more focused kickstarters that bring the cost per piece down. This would entice the new customer, the customer with little storage left, and those who think DF has gotten too expensive. Do maybe 2 per year with different themes. I realize there is the risk of complacency or bu...

Re: Close but not quite

High volume posters on this forum also have to keep in mind how small of a fraction of the entire backer base they truly are. As of this morning, the 205th highest poster has only 100 comments, out of over 7000 forum members. So only less than 3% of the forum members have been even that active. If ...

Re: Burrows - How are they?

I really like the burrows. Like to ground my fantasy in a bit of reality. As such, I suspect that there are many more burrows in the D&D world than masonry dungeons or even navigable limestone caverns. I also like how they naturally capture the feel of old school dungeon maps. Mostly passages with a...

Re: Pre-shipment Notification

Hey Folks, Longtime lurker of the boards. My final DoD delivery was due to deliver today. When it never did, I had a look at the tracking on all four boxes to discover: "A train derailment has delayed delivery. We're adjusting plans to deliver your package as quickly as possible." I had a nervous c...

Re: Classic vs modern sizing

Good to hear that the Forest are in the slightly bigger size. That was a lingering question in my mind. That means the various underground banks are a smidge too small?

Re: Thoughts on painted vs unpainted

I tend to buy painted when I can get it. Nothing like being table-ready. For DF KSers, I have twice tried to go unpainted with my pledge and then in the PM upgraded with no regrets. Just wish that I could buy more historical minis painted so that I could conquer Europe sooner with a Roman Legion or ...
