Re: 4d Terrain from Wizkids no serious competition for Dwarven Forge!

$99 is a good budget target for Grandma to get her D&D loving granddaughter for Christmas - and she can get it at the local game store (hell it will probably be in Target) Do you think Grandma is going to navigate DF site and put together a payable set? - let alone back a kickstarter? This is a gre...

Re: 4d Terrain from Wizkids no serious competition for Dwarven Forge!

I love DF!  So no stones please.  IMHO, these Warlock Tiles are going to sell like hot-cakes and tap deep into a market which DF has only scratched. Why do you say that?  Shiney stuff: - Cheap at $0.60 per square inch at full MSRP versus DF at $1.10 for the pre-order Dungeon Starter set.  I didn't c...

Awesome - if we are getting uber nerdy - 2nd Edition Revised and Expanded (with the MIllenium Falcon on the cover) - It is all about the exploding die! Are you writing your own or running a module - their pregen stuff is remarkably well written The 30th Anniversary 1st Edition with the recent comba...

Re: SCI FI sets

Its too bad that Sci-Fi did not generate sufficient market interest way back when. I managed to get a fair bit of it, but not critical mass. With the unavailability of all the sets, I suspect no new buyers are likely to emerge. Darn shame! The good news for gamers is that nature abhors a vacuum and ...

Re: First time buyer - help configuring larger purchase

I think one of the deciding factors is do you plan to pre-build the dungeon (which requires) more pieces or build as you go with the intent of reusing pieces. I would also add a bit of cavern and some cavern water to your purchase. Good luck with this wallet consuming new "hobby".

Re: Store Now Offering Preorders

Pre-orders are great. What I would like is a commit to purchase option, so that when you are shopping a click "buy" instead of "add to cart" it is yours and will not disappear.
