Re: Classic magnetic walls warped

The hot water method is VERY easy and it worked like a charm for me. Please try it on at least 1 of your piece before sending them to DF. 1 Boil water in a pot 2 Immerse piece in said boiling water 3 Wait some time (1 min or less) 4 Take it out without burning yourself 5 The plastic should be super...

Re: Classic magnetic walls warped

It doesn't seem to have an airtight seal to me. I'd rather not return them. I'll see what happens. If I try to fix it and it breaks then I guess I'll have my answer. ;) Ferrous metal will rust if it is exposed to air. If it is not sealed or painted it will rust anyway. If you do not want to try you...

Re: Classic magnetic walls warped

I've had some warpage due to that heatwave in China. My bridge just doesn't want to stay in the correct position. Going to try to bake it again and try to cool it off quickly this time with an ice water bath. Tap water is fine to chill parts. The lava bridge has to overcome gravity too. Clamp it li...

Re: anyone had problems with tacky Pokorny paint?

Take care with spray sealers they may frost in humid hot weather. Moving from a climate controlled area into a hot humid area can lead to disaster.Let the can and model warm up to the outside temperature before you spray. I have had problems with sticky primer but not with the Pokorny paint. Brush o...

Re: Classic magnetic walls warped

I've been hesitant to even try to bend these back into place because they appear to be made of multiple parts. It looks like some sort of joint between the wall and floor tile portion near floor on the front of the piece. I worry that any efforts on my part could only make this worse (open a sizabl...

Re: Classic magnetic walls warped

I'm hoping DF has a better fix in mind. If not, I may see about returning mine. These could be really useful, but they're not, to me at least, in this condition. In my experience, hot water fix is temporary. Plus, with a metal plate in there, I don't want to go around submerging it in water. Wouldn...

Re: Classic magnetic walls warped

Mine too, it seems to be happening to everyone. At this point I'm curious if anyone's are NOT like this. After the new KS, hopefully DF will recognize something needs to be done. Mine were fine. I do not know if the hot weather effected the tiles with metal plates more than some of the others. I wo...
