D&D B2: Keep on the Borderlands

<t>I'm hoping to DM some convention games set in Gygax's glorious Caves of Chaos. Does anyone have experience setting up the caverns? How many sets would it take to do the entire 750 x 500 map, and how big a table would you need?<br/> <br/> The three levels of elevation within the dungeon make me th...

Contest: Minotaur Mazes

Awesome! I especially like the mix of outdoor scenery with cavernous mazes, and the titles and narration for the photos really sets the scene.

Contest: Minotaur Mazes

<t>I love that young minotaur miniature! I've been trying to pick up one of the minotaurs from Giants of Legend for our event at SoCal as well, but those are more bestial than I imagine minotaurs - the manlike design of the young version is more to my taste.<br/> <br/> The chasm in the floor is a gr...

Contest: Minotaur Mazes

The goal of this contest is to find the best photos of minotaurs and adventurers fighting in a Dwarven Forge maze! Stefan designed a really great layout for Masters and Minions Horde Book 2: Maze of the Minotaur , but whenever we run it at a convention, we're too busy hacking up heroes to take pictu...

Skirmisher Games module?

<t>While at my local gaming store (the Compleat Strategist in NYC), I saw an adventure by Skirmisher Games that had photos of actual Dwarven Forge layouts as its map. I wrote down the name of the publisher, because I was very impressed & wanted to steal the idea for the next Masters and Minions ...

Masters and Minions monster modules designed for DF!

Making monsters for common miniatures is a good idea! Sean K. Reynolds' newest charity project, Hungry Little Monsters , is a collection of new monsters meant to be usable with existing miniatures. It's for a good cause & features the work of many top designers; check it out! I've also started l...

Masters and Minions monster modules designed for DF!

<t>I like the caverns idea for the rot grub - maybe it'd still be occupied by the other beasts who were leaving dung and carrion for the grubs to feed on? The tomb grubs might run out of food pretty quickly, although it's possible that the grubs encyst themselves like brine shrimp to survive long pe...

Masters and Minions monster modules designed for DF!

The rot grub illustration ("Eek! My arm!") is by Donald C. Sutherland III, who did the stirges too. I share your love for the grub, MyLord; Nat and Brian like the big, powerful monsters but I'm drawn to the little, icky ones! I just re-wrote the back cover text for the stirge book (the pro...
