Re: Science Fiction terrain

I've had my eye on this set for a while for when I eventually do a sci-fi/post-apocalyptic game. There's also this "modular card" terrain, which seems like it might be a good value. What I actually have is a bunch of these MDF walls, which I've painted. They are pretty serviceable for sci-fi, althou...

Re: City Builder - Antiqued Look on Floors?

Step 5 in the painting guide explains it. The picture for step 4 just looks as if step 5 was already done. The text of step 5: "Apply a light coat of Stone Edge Drybrush (very diluted with water) to the entire surface of the floor using a wet #12 (Drybrush) brush. Be sure to get the paint into the c...

Re: Rangers of Shadow Deep

For the next scenario of the Burning Light mission, we chose to explore the Herb Store, described as follows: As you push through the broken door into the gloom of the tower, you are nearly overwhelmed by the strength and variety of scents from within: basil, thyme, rosemary, farlight, and even a fe...

Re: PM Reopening

I'm pretty sure another difference is that the wilderness grid is 1 inch "squares," matching cities, castles, and (apparently) trees, while the regular grid is 25 millimeter squares, matching dungeons and caverns.

Re: Seeking Pokorny Paint Color Comparison Chart

Thanks for all the responses! It does sound like it's worth giving Pokorny paints a shot, and as I was digging a little deeper, I'm no longer sure if I need one I was looking at that's out of stock... I was watching the The Joy of Dwarven Painting: Dungeon of Doom Dungeon Walls! video, and at the s...

Re: Passage walls vs dungeon passages

One approach I've found useful to create narrow corridors while conserving passage walls is to build 7.5' passages using Standard Wall Tile <-> Passage Wall. These also help with transition into standard wall/corner rooms and conveniently fit the narrower DF doors.
