I have found that to be an issue with Golden finishes in general...even the matte finishes tend to foam up unless you use an airbrush.

Creating something new with elevation pieces is a lot of fun, and you do not necessarily need a lot of them. It is nice that the Erinthor cliffs and KS6 cliffs work together. If you paint your own, you can also work on matching them. I am sure you will have a great time!
