Re: Basalt column paint colors
OldEnt - Thanks for the response. I have the interference Blue / Violet and agree they are great colors. While I don't always follow the factory to the letter, I prefer to understand the factory colors and tweak where applicable. Erin has a great eye across the paint scheme so I always prefer to sta...

Basalt column paint colors
Hello,
I am finally trying to wrap up my painting of the caverns pieces. Anyone know what colors were used for the basalt columns on the summoning circle and insert wall?

Re: Greetings from the Forge! (now with 50% more greetings)
I have not tried them, I use a program called Combat Manager. It pulls in all the monster information from the d20pfsrd, as well as handling applying templates, conditions, and HP damage.

That works for us :) be very happy to see that on our table - great job gs :) Nothing at all wrong with that! Nice mini, I like the colors you chose. Thank you for the kind words. Honestly, I had always thought it was beyond what I could do. Then I got KSIV unpainted and got some confidence in how ...

Re: painting moss
I used the combo on the tutorial as oddbender mentioned. I broke it up by not painting all the moss the same way. Some I would heavily drybrush while others very lightly. I would also leave some of the moss grey or only paint a portion of it. Some of the battlements had quite a bit of moss.

Re: Couple of (hopefully) quick paint questions
I am by no means an expert, but here is my take.. 1. I have never had to wash the pieces and it has worked for me. 2. For the LED items I first use standard paint to coat the pieces that I do not want to shine through. The stone of the monolith / torch handle /etc. I thin down the paint to do 1-2 wa...

Re: Thoughts on painted vs unpainted
I also tend to go unpainted. It takes me most of the year to get my order painted but I find it relaxing when done over time. I could afford to buy painted but I have to keep it vaguely reasonable in the eyes of my wife. So I get more when going with unpainted.
