I have used simple green extensively.
It works. Sink your pieces and let them soak though.
Downside...they will smell minty fresh forever lol

I am using standard home interior paint. Exactly from the same on KS1 and Dunegon of Doom.
Very frustrating.

I had great success finishing My KS1 tiles with Testors Dullcotte. However, since then the Dullcote formula was changed and now it dries tacky on painted dwarenite and is also satin. I moved on to Winsor and Newton Matte Spray and it feels dry at first but turns tacky within 24 hours. I tried using ...

Moss/Mold/Algae on your Tiles
Can anyone please suggest with pics or links how peeps have gone about adding some moss, mold, or algae like effects on their tiles? I would like to make some simple mods to break the homogeneity of the floors and walls. Thanks!

The tiles were simply painted and dry-brushed. Then I used realistic water coloured with Reaper Snow Shadow and a dropper to darken the tiny pools. Then a goopy layer of Triple thick particularly by the shoreline. When dry, another layer of coloured RW focusing again on the shoreline. Hope that helps.
