Re:Doors glued shut?
<t>None of the methods that I've tried seem to work. The one that had the most impact was the fingernail polish remover, but that actually softened the door as well, and only softened the glue slightly. The door is now softer than the glue. I have some goo gone somewhere that I may try if I can find...

Re:Doors glued shut?
<t>After 11-12 hours, the vinegar and the Simple Green have done nothing in dissolving the glue. I'm going to continue to let them soak, and am now trying rubbing alcohol and nail polish remover for my next two experiments.<br/> <br/> Stefan, any hints as to what kind of glue they used? Different gl...

Re:Doors glued shut?
<t>I have a bunch of narrow doors like this. I was able to force a few, but a few others I actually started to split the dwarvenite along the wood seam between the planks of the door.<br/> <br/> For now, I'm doing a couple experiments with using Simple Green on one stuck door, and vinegar on another...

Re:Lava/Fire dungeon with Dwarvenite
@DungeonBuilder That's why I'm practicing with some of the tiles that I created. I figure they're disposable. Going to need to make some more soon if I keep up though...

Re:Lava/Fire dungeon with Dwarvenite
@DungeonBuilder Very nice!!! I'm just a rookie painter, and I haven't had the nerve to try and paint the "fancier" Bones minis, because I'm worried that I'll ruin them. I am definitely looking forward to painting them though!

Re:Icy Dungeon with Dwarvenite
Very nice! I was toying with the idea of using a glue gun to make some icicles, and seeing these pics makes me want to play around with that. Thanks for sharing!

Re:Lava/Fire dungeon with Dwarvenite
<t>@Elbows Good point. I doubt I'll paint a full set like this, but was thinking more like a room or two. For now I'm thinking along the lines of a fire/ice theme, with magic involved somehow. But you're right, it is pretty uniform. Need to do some more thinking about that... Thanks for the suggesti...

Re:Icy Dungeon with Dwarvenite
<t>I was thinking about trying to make some snow flock, and then maybe taken some cotton balls and spread them out to give it some bulk.<br/> <br/> Icicles are a great idea. I wonder if I could do something like that with a glue gun. Need to probably do some more googling on that... Thanks for the s...

Re:Lava/Fire dungeon with Dwarvenite
@Law Once I have my fire & ice figured out, the next paint scheme I want to play around with is sandstone and/or an Egyptian theme.

Re:Lava/Fire dungeon with Dwarvenite
One other comment. The Hirst Arts tiles that I'm using for my prototyping are pretty smooth when compared to the DF tiles, which makes drybrushing harder, because the sharp texture isn't there to be picked up. So should work out better once I make the jump to my DF tiles.
