Re: Plants

I don't have pictures handy, but I buy a few sizes of washers in bulk packs from the big box hardware stores. I attach my greenery or other terrain bit with a wee bit of hot glue, then if needed dress the base up with a bit of PVA. I then paint the base and/or flock it or add texture with sand or sm...

Re: Ships - possible opportunity???

Having the actual scale listed would help a lot. While they do make model ships of scales that are close enough to use experience has taught me that they are relatively few in number for our preferred scales.

Re: Cheap miniatures

Thanks for the tip on Camelizer - that is handy It works best if you have a rough idea of how the prices in the market you're buying in fluctuate (the chart it gives is helpful, but seldom tells enough on it's own). The auto alert emails are a nice touch though so you don't have to directly check a...

Re: Cheap miniatures

That entire series as well as the Dungeon Command line are excellent ways to get a decent stable of minis on the cheap. The actual games tend to be a bit wildly unbalanced, but the mini selection alone makes them worthwhile most of the time. I used Camelizer on Amazon to get each one for thirty or l...

Re: Yet another dungeon Kickstarter

I can combine DF, MBA, Gear Works, 4Ground, and several others rather freely as I choose. What's Gear Works? I have and use items from all the others you list, but don't know Gear Works and am not having luck Googling them. Thanks! My mistake, Games & Gears has made at least one resin building. The...

Re: Help selecting forest mat for Dreadhollow compatibility

Gale Force 9 has a very large double sided neoprene mat where one side is grassy and the other is bare dirt. I like it fairly well.

Re: Yet another dungeon Kickstarter

The design limits their cross compatibility with other lines. This greatly reduces my interest unfortunately. I can combine DF, MBA, Gear Works, 4Ground, and several others rather freely as I choose. This stuff would require more effort to integrate with these than any of them require. I will probab...

Re: How Long Does it Go On?

Colored plastics don't recycle well into something of a different color or general use unless you're fine with a swirled or brown colored mess (kind of like playdoh). I can definitely see 3D printing get good enough for excellent terrain of middling detail and for minis of decent detail. I doubt it ...

Re: Gen-Con promo Anvils?

I spend a bit more time at the booth than I probably should, but I talk up the forums and give people reasons why they should get some DF if they're fence sitting. I like to think I'm worth the trouble! A few folks did say they were planning to make accounts and look into getting some DF, hopefully...

Re: Gen-Con promo Anvils?

I wish I could have spent more time at the booth (as it was I spent a lot, just admiring all the new scuplts). It would have been great to have been able to attend the lunch meetup, or play/watch any of the games, but I was GMing a lot of the time. Next year hopefully my schedule will fit better. O...
