Re:Torch Walls

Fizzikx, you should put a how-to video or pictures on this subject.

Which size and color of LEDs did you use? Did you use a resistor in series?

Give up the goods, man!

Re:What simple mods have you done to KS game tiles?

I've used Elmers and Tacky Glue from Walmart. Neither one has an issue. I have added mold and dirt on the tiles without a problem. The tacky glue shrinks some, so my dirt piles in the corners are kinda flat.

I'm also working on molding my own passages out of the GTs.

Re:Game tiles and pigments ?

I used a water soluble ink on mine after painting. You can see the difference.

Re:Advice on Magnet Insert on Tiles

<t>If your worried about bumping them, why not use some rubber shelving stuff (can't remember the name of it)? A couple of pieces 2-3 feet long should work for most layouts.<br/> <br/> I had thought of using the magnet idea for the free standing walls. Putting the magnets near the bottom of the wall...

Re:Painting the Pool in the Chamber of Sorrows

<t>I just painted the bottom of the pool grey. Drilled a hole in the middle big enough to stick my finger through. Then I cut out several patterns that I printed on card stock, just under 3 inches (76mm) in diameter. And, voila, you have a pool, pit, gate, etc. No painting required.<br/> <br/> <br/>...

Re:Doors glued shut?

I had one stuck door. I just cut it free and plan on using the door as a bashed in door and the frame as an arch or other opening. (Wife told me its broke, just throw it away, as if.)

Re:Painting the Doors

I removed the doors by putting them in warm (not hot) water for a few minutes. The pieces softened and the door popped right out. Did the same thing when putting them back together. Easy peezy.

Re:Cheap paint test: Folk Art, Apple Barrel

I haven't had much luck with the apple barrel paints. They seem to be a little sparse on color, watered down.

Re:First time painting anything for gaming

<t>The last picture was taken at home, under better lighting. The others were taken at my work place, some with flash. I thought the stone edge came out a little light and I was a little heavy handed with the initial layers. As for the flocking, I'm only doing about 10% of the pieces so that its not...
