I am also a big fan of DF going simpler. The big complicated pieces are beautiful, but the cost is also quite high.

The high variance dice have more numbers at the high and low end and fewer in the middle of the dice. They were a KS that Wyrmwood is just finishing up on fulfilling now. They do not have only 1s and 6s on the dice, but we did see a lot of 1s and 20s on the d20s......
