Thanks everyone.
Yes MyLordVoid, the railings are from one of the platformer ranges (I forget which one).
And the new Sci-fi set does look extremely cool Stefan, I may have to try & boost my gaming budget...

DF + Space Crusade
<t>Hi Everyone,<br/> <br/> A couple of weeks ago I dusted off my old Space Crusade rules & put together a little spaceship using my limited supply of DF (2 Sci Fi Starter Sets & 2 Sci Fi Passage Sets) and a few other bits and pieces. The resulting game was quite enjoyable, with my friend's s...

Nice work GS.

Some Sci-Fi in the 40k Universe
Thanks Dante & Jim. It's taken years of practice (although a side effect of this process is piles & piles of junk that I still _haven't_ found a use for)

Some Sci-Fi in the 40k Universe
<r>Thanks guys, glad you liked the pics.<br/> <br/> It was a fun little game. I've found that this scenery works really well for 40k skirmish games. It takes me back to my early days of playing game after game of Space Crusade with my friends.<br/> <br/> Jim: That console is available in vast number...

Some Sci-Fi in the 40k Universe
<t>I just came across some of my old 40k minis & decided to see how they looked in a Sci-Fi master maze setup.<br/> <br/> Pic 1 - A squad of Marines explore the barren passages of a derelict space hulk.<br/> <br/> Pic 2 - The passage opens out into a larger area & the marines spot movement i...

Cobblestones?
<t>Thanks Dante. The mat is black rubber, so yeah I did have to paint it.<br/> <br/> I contemplated drybrushing it, but I have a real problem with disguising my brushmarks when I'm drybrushing large surfaces. It doesn't matter what size brush I use the brushstrokes still show up.<br/> <br/> For this...

Cobblestones?
<r>I use the reverse side of a rubber door mat. The random non-slip pattern looks close enough for me (although it's more like oddly shaped rocks, than an actual cobblestones) Plus, one $10 mat takes up an area of roughly 1.5' x 2.5'.<br/> <br/> My doormat cobblestones in action:<br/> <br/> <URL url...

Has anyone used DF for Heroquest? Is it compatible?
<t>I would agree that the Mage Knight 3D Dungeons are slightly more playable as far as usable floorspace is concerned, mostly since the walls are a lot thinner. I have a couple of sets and mostly use them for skirmish games that use a grid, e.g. Star Wars Minis and D&D Minis. For these types of ...
