Re: Wildlands Survey

I’m ok with scatter terrain, but I don’t need DF battle maps. There are enough companies out there with good quality battle maps (or like some, one may want to print custom and put it under some plexi). DF is about tiles for the most part, and I hope that even if they do come out with scatter terra...

Re: Wildlands Survey

@93x74R, I have the feeling that you missed that DF introduced forest banks in the CD pledge manager. Right? https://photos.app.goo.gl/cNfKJSGcS7LnZxwK6 Because these banks fulfill everything you are looking for. No, I was fully aware of the banks added in the pledge manager. I ended up not going f...

Re: KS7 Wildlands hints, teaser and beans

I pray for hazards. HAZARDS! Think of them! Rock slides! they would be great outdoors or in your Caverns Deep! And something to indicate rough terrain, too. Tell me. How many times in your dungeon adventures that a passage was blocked by fallen stone, rocks, debris, an giant animal carcass, whateve...

Re: Wildlands Survey

I play 5e and agree that the bow distance is reasonable. I need terrain for a 2x4 play space (got to leave some room on the edge of the table for character sheets, books, dice and beer). Scatter terrain that creates full or partial cover is ideal! We will see how the escarpments and the dreadhollow...

Re: Wildlands Survey

Then do not play 3E. They had realistic ranges for longbows and no on and I mean no one could afford that distance of tiles. Even negative space with decent scatter terrain would be a lot. What I hope DF will provide on this one is both scatter terrain and signature pieces that provide cover/a plac...

Re: Poll of these options which will keep your KS7 wildlands pledge smaller

You can't always use negative space. As an example, if you want to make a lake on top of a mountain with waterfalls. Perhaps a river that runs through your elevated city/castle, that runs down to water. Sure the bottom tier can be negative space but when you start thinking in 3D, you need occasiona...

Re: Wildlands Survey

I know I will sound like a heretic to the water tiles legion but I asked for a negative space swamp. I love what they did in V and VI with negative space water/acid and a really kick ass swamp is something my tables have lacked. Lots of swamp scatter can cover a lot of area. I specifically asked for...

Re: Do you want KS7 to have more Erinthor Mountain Cliff sculpts?

I would also like to see more sculpts like the rock fall from KSII. I only have 2 of them but I use them in nearly every build, surface or subterranean. They are great for breaking up the blocky look and providing difficult terrain elevation change. Abso-freakin-lutely. We need a whole pack of rock...
