Front Doors

Here are a couple of "front doors" I've built recently. The first uses tons of foam blocks and 5 elevation trays. I used passage walls to cover the foam block foundations. The second was a fight at the entrance to a shrine of Athena. I didn't take time to fill out the cave beyond the columns because...

Re: Orc Stronghold

Yes to the storage aspect. The elevation trays have gotten their share of bad press, but I personally love them. You can fit tons of walls inside by nesting them “chevron style,” as I heard one forumite say.

Re: Elevation Boxes

I believe several posters mentioned some intriguing builds in this thread, any pics out there yet?

Re: Orc Stronghold

I’ve always wanted to try something like that, GardenDM. I’ve been to one small local con, and knew a bunch of people there, and had a great time. I’ve read plenty about similar competitive delves, but have never played one. Sounds like a lot of fun.

Re: Out of the Abyss - Gracklstugh

Also like how you used the RotA inserts and 2x2 corridors together, seems a good way to get more playable space out of my 2 sets. I’m stealing!

Re: Out of the Abyss - Gracklstugh

The front entrance pic is great, shows off how versatile the CBS stone pieces are. I’m looking forward to the castles restock to grab some square towers.

Cool bridge over the lava lake, Astrocat. Where are the wooden walkways from?

Re: Orc Stronghold

I love the role playing aspect of RPGs, but I also love tactical combat in equal measure. The barred arch inserts are just indoor arrow slits to me.

You know, if you put the black Japanese foam bricks on top we could see them better....

Oh, this is not a foam brick forum ..... oh, sorry.

That is a nice build and sounds like a bad fight for the PCs.
All the best forums are foam brick ones...

Re: Pink Forge: from the maker of twig forge

When I looked at the first picture, I thought the pink and blue color scheme you were painting was awesome... then I realized it was pink foam. I love pink and royal blue walls though, it reminds me of "The Forgotten Temple of Tharizdun" module, which was eerie because of its pink cover. http://howi...

Orc Stronghold

I don't intend to use this for a game, I was just playing around with 4 elevation platforms and Japanese foam blocks. Here's the overview of the stronghold, pretend the Balor isn't there! http://howigame.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/001.jpg http://howigame.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/001-1.jpg ...
