Re: In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit

Which raises an interesting question for me - to fix the grid issue, are we gonna need 2x2 (and maybe 4x4) forest tiles AND ALSO 2x2 (and maybe 4x4) escarpments? I’m finding the escarpments way more essential to DH than I anticipated - a layout without them looks much less interesting to me. Hm. I ...

Re: Galladoria Games Kickstarter - For the Terrain!

I'm interested in a bit, but probably not $300 worth. Want to go in together on a pledge to boost to $300 and save money? I'm happy to do the buying from them or be the one paying you/picking up from you.

Re: Multi Tier Escarpment builds and more

Got it. Yah, most of mine are that way too.

To be honest, this is one of the pieces that I was excited for during the KS, but have found to be practically worthless in my builds.

Re: Multi Tier Escarpment builds and more

I checked out using the Elevation Platforms from DoD. They are the right (no real surprise) but they have enough of a warp in the middle to leave a gap and let the escarpments wiggle. Photos later. Sigh. The plastic of those boxes is not all that amenable to being reformed if I recall correctly. Wi...

Re: Accessories for Dreadhollow and other outdoor terrain

We already have a new tree sculpt we've seen. I would love to see however some birch trees with white bark; that would require a new sculpt. Maybe do something like burrows and have modular stumps/roots? Need a birch tree? Slot it in. Need a pine tree? Slot it in. Need a bush? Slot it in. Edit: Rem...

Re: Stefan (who, er, sometimes just SAYS things) said Feb. for the store

At this time we can't accurately predict when the Caverns Deep stock will go live on the web store. There are a lot of moving parts on this end. First, we need all backer shipments to go out (which are actually pretty close!). Then we need all graphics done and everything implemented in the store b...

Re: Caverns Deep and Darkhollow should have been two campaigns

Lots of good points here. I can see how splitting the KS could have hurt it. But if course any KS runs the risk that it won’t succeed because some people wanted X instead of Y. I guess the question is “Is this setting so niche it can’t stand on its own!” I mean, caverns has long been a mainstay. It...

Re: DH Banks and forest along a river

Looks nice.

But the same problems exist with "banks" and negative space water that exists with "water tiles" which is that it is A) too square and B) too repetitive.

I'm still hoping that KS7 has sculpted water tiles... with diagonals.

Re: New Tiles for Dreadhallow

I would say we need a 1x3, 1x2, and 1x1 for f ull compatibility with the 2x2 grid. I also think an escarpment "floor" tile would be helpful. It could be used in conjunction with an elevation block or something; it doesn't need to be tall on its own; this would keep costs down. You could also just r...
