Re: Which colors for painting the DH leaves on the trees?

That might be true. I just don't want to be too far off.

Re: Which colors for painting the DH leaves on the trees?

Based on pictures of painted pieces and the DF painting video, I'm thinking of painting the leaves similar to the moos on the ground: In the tutorial video the moos is painted in three steps: 1st layer: shallow water seaweed green 2nd layer ("wet drybrush"): 6:2:1 ratio of moos green: shal...

Which colors for painting the DH leaves on the trees?

Hi forum!

I'm looking for advice on matching the factory colors on the leaves on the trees.

The Dwarven Forge painting video unfortunatelly only covers the tiles.
I searched the forum, but I also only found advice for painting the tiles not the trees.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Lava Caverns painting scheme

Here an update for the Lava River tiles with step-by-step walk-through (also using only DF colors): 1) A wet-brushing of the whole tile with Lava Yellow. You might need several layers as the yellow paint is a bit thin. lava_river_01_red.jpg 2) A wet-brushing with Deep Lava on the rim between the fla...

Lava Caverns painting scheme

Inspired by the beautiful lava painting scheme from GriffonTamer , I grabbed my remaining cavern tiles and painted them in a very similar dark scheme. I went for large areas of blackish tone to get the basaltic feel. And also to give any character is such cave enough area to step on. The tiles are p...

DF paints mixing - need for a magenta color?

I tried mixing the DF colors and it looks like that the current set has no color in it, that is magenta enough to give a whole color circle. Using either Deep Lava or the Lava Orange only gives greyish colors (the mixed color between is the Deep Lava and Water Bubbles Blue is a bit purple, but it is...

Re: 2x2 City building tiles to match the 4x4 floors.

I like the new offset grid because it removes the weird half spaces that exist in KS1 tiles. My group always plays with grids (Pathfinder or D&D) and dealing with those half-spaces is much worse than making the adjustment necessary when moving from offset<->unoffset grids. It does not remove th...

Re: A perfect place to rest

Thanks all! @jchunick: Thanks for the input. I currently tried Mold Star 30, a platinium cured silicone. Unfortunately that one is sensitive to sulfur, which seems to be present in mostly all clays. Do you know if that is also the case for the tin-silicone you use? @zoroaster100: Unfortunately I don...
