Hot glue a bit of cork, gravel, or flock to a 1/2” brad of just a tad smaller diameter, insert into said offending hole... rinse and repeat.

If you are ok with terrain trays as “usable terrain”, then one or two of those in a castle floor or dungeon floor theme, with a set or two of banks and ledges can greatly expand your square footage.

I know for the resin cavern water sets, they are using a different company from the normal one. QC was a serious issue with the sets I ordered early last year.

I wonder about this increasingly greater emphasis/desire/obsession (?) with having designs that require a joining mechanism. Wasn’t ever an issue with KS1, KS2 pieces -they were simple adjacent “butt” joints using gravity and surface friction. I never thought “I could sure use magnets/ pins/ latches...

Dwarvenite that thin will be fairly flexible, and if the two plugs are not long enough the skin might pop out... I have 8x8, 4x4, and 4x6 thick floor pieces that have a tendency to bow/warp. Imagine a very thin skin with just two “mount points”...
