Sorry, it is the overdoom paintjob? :(
I never thought of that. I sort of figured since they were unveiling it anyway, why add a "mystery" paintjob. But you're probably right. :|

Re: Is it Just me, or is Anyone Else a Bit Disappointed?

As a non-KS2 owner, I'm actually good with this - because I'll go out to the DF store between now and next year to buy KS2 sets to expand on an Essentials 1-11 pledge. I get bling and variety without breaking the bank on what are not-so-basic pieces - even the basics here are extra detailed and not...

Re: how encounters will be sold

If I had to guess, I would say individually (but that's just a guess).

Re: Likes and dislikes

Nah, No straw man argument here... I'm talking about art primarily and function secondarily. I prefer the artistry of water tiles and feel that they function well. I agree that negative space functions better in many cases, but prefer the artistry of water tiles because the function I care about mo...

Re: Likes and dislikes

Other pieces that I like quite a bit are the Corner Entrance, the Entrance Riser, the Ancient Dungeon double door, Dungeon Ruins, the Suspension Bridge, and the Stone Banks. ...But being able to cherry pick what I really want and ignore the core sets, that really excites me! That entrance is badass...

Re: Likes and dislikes

The old water tiles are tough to make dynamic - I had the same complaint about the lava river too. Unless you have 100 water tiles and build over it, the negative space terrain is better overall for creating really dynamic builds. You're going to have to define "dynamic" for your comments...

Re: Likes and dislikes

Agreed on the zoom. Being able to zoom on the images helps really decide on what is what. A great thing they did this time is break things up. I have a sh*t ton of caverns - I'll likely buy more the way they have done it because I can get the pieces that are new and don't duplicate what I already ha...

Re: Need clarification on how the Pledge levels work

I'm really excited to see those alternate build photos. It would be great if we could get those for every pledge level. Also, a few photos showing less claustrophobic and more open layouts... I suppose you could use a bunch of the swell pieces to really open an area up - however, caving IS a pretty...
