Re: Kickstarter 6.66

I like these. I was never interested in the KS2 lava pieces, but I'll buy these. I think that I will have a larger ratio of black tiles to river tiles than shown in these examples as I like having lava fields for terrain for the party to work across. I'll want enough river pieces to do it justice. I...

Re: Deal of the day 5/16/19

I'd been considering getting that set - the discount made it an easy decision. Thanks for the tip.

Re: Kickstarter 6.66

They are clearly different pieces, but I think the takeaway is that there will be lava pieces that mirror the water pieces everyone loves (not negative space) and then a transition piece to get down to a terrain tray. I agree that the textures of the lava river pieces look great.

Re: What do you play with DF?

D&D, mostly 5E these days but 1E/2E may get done again. I'm hoping to do Cthulhu soon, but everyone is into D&D too much right now. We're rotating 3 DMs/campaigns at the moment, playing 2/week.

Ditto - got Cat I and some Stone Ruins as well. If you've been waiting for something, better give it a quick look.

Re: Monster Terrain

I have 10 sets and a couple wells. I likely will only get one of everything offered and round out with trees, which I don't have much of. I'm going to get two bush sets combined for one of the big sets - I like that they offered that option near the end. I have Dreadhollow coming, but believe there ...

Pathfinder 2nd Ed DF pieces

Ok, we've mused about KS 6.66, but the other part of their recent announcement of collaboration on Pathfinder 2nd edition hasn't gotten much talk on the forum. Here is the announcement from the April CD update: "we've been working on a collaboration with Paizo on some sets for the release of Pathfin...

Re: Ruins, cont.

I can see that - I am likely also going to go in for some smaller pieces for Axe N Shield, but was debating whether I would attempt to setup my own larger layer cake setups with plexiglass. I'm not sure about how helpful the layers would be in play - they are certainly impressive to look at.

Re: Ruins, cont.

I was thinking about getting a couple big plexiglass sheets to do layer cake builds - what thickness do you think is minimum to support its own weight with a reasonable amount of supports? I am leaning away from the Axe N Shield solutions for such at this time and doing my own thing. Thanks.
