Re: Tree Houses

Ewoks .... Noooooooo!!!!!! If they pop their 'dead behind the eyes' heads out we will get all Lagomorphic on their fake furry behinds. Thats a 'No' from the Lagomorph Judge. Two things about Ewoks that are very easy to miss. (1). They’re bad ass. Sure, the costumes reflected the limitations of the ...

Re: Interest in Future Sci-Fi Sets?

I really wish they’d bring back SF in Dwarvenite. I don’t know the numbers on how badly it bombed last time. I don’t know what kind of difference KS could make. But I would hope it could happen. We’ve had a lot of fantasy KS campaigns by this point. We’re talking more and more about going back and f...

Re: Water features (based on what we've seen on KS6.66)

BTW - in the Reddit chat with Nate we asked what was the biggest seller in CD, he answered that it was banks by far. That doesn’t surprise me, and it doesn’t say anything definitive about tiles v trays (not that you implied otherwise). Banks appeal to people who love trays, people who accept them a...

Re: Myrmidon SG

I really like the DF minis - they’re fun and durable and I like their bases. While plenty of other companies make minis, not that many make prepainted plastic minis that aren’t blind boxed. Plus, the townsfolk and castle guard were just perfect - a whole mob of theme-appropriate minis for those sets...

Re: KS8 theme - Hear Me Out

I would like to see DF try an underwater theme, with coral reefs, shipwrecks, giant kelp etc. It would require an elegant z-axis solution, but I am sure they could figure that out somehow. They’ve already solved the z-axis with Underdoom, same way other gaming companies did. Clear plastic stands. I...

Re: Water features (based on what we've seen on KS6.66)

It hadn’t occurred to me until I saw this thread, but now it does seem as if 6.66 was testing (or debuting) a new compromise solution between terrain trays and tiles. We know DF listens to its fans, and people were very vocal in their disappointment that KS6 did not include water tiles to expand the...

Re: Was KS6.66 successful?

I think they’re fine with speculators. They deliberately hype things as limited and exclusive which is telling us that one reason to buy is its value on the aftermarket. I don’t think it’s their primary intention - that all things being equal, they’ve made this a marketing strategy. I think that man...

Re: What’s the latest on when KS7 launches?

Thanks, guys! I’d forgotten the Jan. 2020 date. I also didn’t watch the KS comments, if it came up there. Assuming things are on schedule, that leaves me with a tough choice. That’s half a year away, meaningfully more when you think of a 1 month campaign plus a month before the PM launches plus a mo...

What’s the latest on when KS7 launches?

My recollection is that there wasn’t a firm date yet. But I can’t remember what WAS said. I feel like there was a time, at least provisional, given. But maybe other delays since took place so we can presume it is no longer accurate. I kinda hope we’ll get more info before the PM closes. On the one h...
