Re: Starting an underground lake, fortress build

Wow, this looks great. I like the “moat” of classic lake tiles. I am very interested in seeing the final build. Keep us posted!

Thanks for this post, very helpful. I have a bunch of KS1 that I need to paint to match to my KS5 pieces.

Re: Starting an underground lake, fortress build

Inspired by one of the other posters (I'm sorry I forgot who), I wanted to make a multi-level lack cavern with fortress. Here's some of the initial work, its still a complete work-in-progress, and will get to play with it more tomorrow I think. https://photos.app.goo.gl/Akbp8nVNFWYhYuMD8 https://ph...

Re: Thoughts on Passage Pieces?

I have the Cavernous Passages resin set so I am pretty covered between that and the little passage pieces from KS2. But I am still getting the basic Passage pack for the 45 degree pieces and a bit of variety. And while Law is correct in that they leave a little negative space on the table, when buil...

Re: Resin cavern vs. KS2 cavern

Aesthetically there is no comparison for me. Resin wins, it’s just beautiful. A lot of that is because the pools of water look better in resin and the 4” footprint is one that I prefer. Re: What would you do differently?

I use DF for heroquest set ups and man o man does heroquest ever use a ton of long single block passages. I could use easily 1-2 more sets than I bought. maybe I'll pick that up too. Terrain trays are also really awesome. they keep my builds tightly put together. I hoped I could prebuild and then j...

Re: Encounters or add-ons?

I am going the add ons route. Technically the Caverns Starter pledge plus add ons. I was really thinking Hag’s Den but it has bits which I am meh about, like the led wall, and bits that replace stuff I already have, like the mimic and alchemy table. Although those are very cool. But by pledging the ...

Not that I have noticed. I would bet that is something that they could offer during pledge manager.
