Re: Populating the City

Hey jgt4242, thanks for adding your pics! Always nice to see how others tackle color schemes, etc. I like your color schemes especially on the barmaid and the dude with the torch. I still have a couple of the folks you've shown to do. I rather like that "Oswald the Overladen" carrying all the packs,...

Re: Invincibleoverlord's Photo Sets

Wow, this is indeed an amazing resource. Thanks so much for taking the time to find & repost these. (And thank you, Invincible Overlord, wherever you are, for all this creativity.) Does anyone know what became of him? Still alive and well I hope? This here thread is a great example of how & why folk...

Re: VALORIA oh VALORIA!

Thanks guys! Really glad you're enjoying this. @Laurent T - Glad you noticed, I thought you'd get a kick out of that. There are one or two other familiar Valorian citizens mentioned around the city *cough* William *cough* and others are sure to appear in the planned longer version of the book. ;) @W...

Re: Shakespeare meets Dwarven Forge

Hey Jasdotcom, this is really awesome! What a fun project for you and your daughter and a unique new use of terrain and minis. I bet one could do entire Shakespearian plays this way (if you spent an insane amount of time) and it would be really cool. Really nice photos, too. I do some Shakespeare fr...

Re: Castle Builds

Very nice Himajin! And of course I'm delighted to see the Giant's Gate. ; ) All the greenery really does make a difference too. I find I'm constantly sticking a few trees here and there in layouts I make and it adds so much to the visual variety--and I think actually helps bring out the interesting ...

Valoria Sourcebook Released!

Hi Everyone! Stefan has just posted a link to where you can download the new sourcebook (one of the backer rewards for KS4) detailing the city of Valoria and the surrounding lands in Stefan's world of Mythras. http://www.dwarvenforge.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=8366&p=115226#p115226 I thought I'd...

Re: What 5 unpainted Erinthor Mountain set build looks like.

Awesome! I had been wondering if anyone had gotten the mountains on the same scale (many sets) as some got Castles. That would be a terrific layout for a big sprawling battle/encounter making good use of elevations, etc. (and maybe boulder-hurling elementals...).

Re: Painting KS 4

Right! Well, you obviously know what you're doing; I don't have much more advice to offer since I don't have any pre-painted caverns myself (I paint all my own terrain) so I don't have any real specific thoughts on matching how the pre-painted pieces look. If you have the Pokorny paints you'll have ...

Re: Painting KS 4

Hi Dwarf! You'll never get an exact match; the factory actually uses a different kind of paint, although the colors are generally pretty similar. If you have the pre-painted caverns in hand, I'd recommend just experimenting with a couple of your mountains pieces until you get a similar result you're...
