Re: Close but not quite

Talistran, I believe that one of DF staff posters on this forum did more or less answer the question about more water tiles in this reply a couple of months ago.

Re: Buying Encounters retail

I think a lot of the "panic" is because when you think of a store, you think of that being a place you can just pop onto whenever you want and just buy stuff - aka Amazon. DF is not really that kind of store. What would be useful to a LOT of DF backers would be some sort of announcement system that ...

Re: Close but not quite

I would suggest they consider something along the lines of 2 per year. Once focused on a "new" theme and that comes out in time to promote at Gencon, etc., but is on a decidedly more focused scale. (Just for context, lets only have "5 encounters" not 15.) Make some of them clearly for first timers, ...

Re: Not just Sysuul

I'm guessing McFarlane Medusa figure from the distance to the shrine.... Oooh give that DooFer a 'shiney' :) Nice spot, shame we just spent the last 20 minutes on the internet trying to get the details of it :D It is indeed Medusa a Series 13 McFalane action figure. She is a little big but highly a...

Re: Close but not quite

I meant to add as well, now that they have run Cities, Castles, Dungeons, and Caverns (with Forest), what else is there that an RPGer is likely to want? I am sure that many of the large buyers are getting close to saturation on tiles. (I will have close to 4000 DF items once this KS delivers.) At so...

Re: Close but not quite

The minis Ks sounds like a good test case for DF. I hope they can do it. I must say, I doubt that. DF is unique for the best modular terrain in the world, not so much for their minis. I doubt that a mini KS can be as successful as a terrain KS of a similar size. So I would say, that test case would...

Re: How to Make the Elevation Box Lids Stay On

Awesome series of documentation. I will give a thought about doing that for my 4 boxes. I noticed that when stacking them up with the lids on "normally" that they did tend to slide off without too much lateral force. Thanks for this path to a solution.

Re: Dwarven Forge's Last Kickstarter

Well, the obvious answers would be a) any theme/setting they have not yet explored that they believe a market exists for (underwater, open ocean (with lots of just water tiles) or sandy desert terrain to complement the forest), and b) a time jump for a setting like urban/cities and make a more moder...

Re: Simplified adventures for kids

A little depends on how good a young reader your child is. If they can read well, then you could write down the rules you plan to use so that they can practice their reading as well. Are they good with the concepts of one number being a larger number than another. Like 5 is bigger than 3, or 15 is b...
