Re: Is the Forum acting slower than usual?

Normally have not had any issue, but yesterday about midday and into the evening, it was noticeably slow and took a long time to load pages, especially if there were any pictures. Today has been fine so far.

Re: Diorama of the Day (aka, Working From Home)

Nice tight setup. I will gladly be joining this sometime soon. Right now the gaming table is awash with tiles in the process of being painted. (Thus all my recent DF orders for paint...)

Re: Crystal Battery Life

Thanks, I was pretty sure most of them were the CR-2032 which is a pretty standard size and readily available. You can get them in quantity for as little as 0.25 each on Amazon for example. I have a number of devices in the house that use them, so I often grab a 20 pack every year or so. For some re...

Re: Crystal Battery Life

Results of the test. After about 4.5 hours of strobe flashing white light with the LEDs in the Spirit Tree insert, the insert started to become unresponsive and blinking various colors, It would still turn on/off with the remote, but all of the other controls and colors were not working. This was wi...

Re: Crystal Battery Life

So far yes. Cr2032 (The remotes are CR 2025 it looks like). I just took out the battery from a dead Spirit tree lamp and replaced the CR2032 in it. Two screws to remove the assembly and then you have force out the old battery from the three angle clips before snapping in the replacement. Not a great...

Re: Previews until June/juli ks

If you can, and have the time, watch their (DF) twitch shows on Tuesday and Wednesday/Thursday. Nate tends to drop a lot of insight and hints at times in response to questions during the stream. It probably will be hard to get much more than that for a while. Also, with the actual launch date so fuz...

Re: Crystal Battery Life

The challenge is not the look of the LED's, we can pretty much all agree they are cool. Earlier uses for things like wall torches and lamps and even fires have a pretty useful service life. Can't recall any of the burning out yet. And many of those have been used for quite a few hours cumulatively. ...

Just grab the DOOM roller from DoD traps, that should keep folks on their toes if they see that one lurking up the hill!

Re: Kudos to DF warehouse shipping

One of the recent builds shown used the tiles as is, but indicated a plan to repaint some. The pack is pretty cheap with 24 1x2s and 12 1x1s for unpainted for $30 (cheap by DF standards at least). So being able to create a 1inch border around a 4x4 house, for example, using dirt-colored tiles sounds...
