Re: Pledge Planner Discussion

You can only speculate on what will be available in the store later. The first shipments in the store are typically whatever is leftover from the initial production run and subsequent restocks focus on sets that have sold well. I'd get what you know you need now and things you think you might need i...

Re: Two Kickstarters - One Pledge

Also keep in mind DF retains its value and you could buy the sets at the CD level to get your discount and then cash out the sets you don't need on ebay when they arrive. You wild probably make about 10-20% based on the bulk discount you get with the pledge and people looking to pick up sets they mi...

Re: Advice sought: Apple Barrel and FolkArt paint

Cheap paints will stick alright, but can be scraped off with a fingernail relatively easily. They don't come off on their own; so don't worry about them flaking right after painting or anything, but Pokorny paints are a lot tougher to scratch and hold their color better than cheap paints. I would su...

Re: Budgeting for versatility - asking for advice

It may sound blasphemous, but you don't NEED walls or corners to make a cavern. (Or dungeon) Floors should be your #1 priority, and then whatever you feel you want after that. That can be walls and corners, elevation, etc. But if you don't have floors, you don't have a cavern. Crooked caverns is nic...

I have an imperial streets and would still buy an imperial alleys set if they made one.

Re: Why is sewer set no longer in store?

It's a popular set; I doubt it's gone. It may be part of the website redesign and they are adjusting the store to match inventory or something. I'd email customersupport@dwarvenforge.com to get a clear answer, though.

Re: Budgeting for versatility - asking for advice

Elevation in caverns I think can almost be classified as bread and butter for the way the set is designed. I would either 1) plan your pledge around being able to do some elevation with stuff like books or boxes as supports for tiles or 2) get terrain trays (and possibly stilts; you can always use u...

Re: Final Pledge Feedback

Do you own any other cavern pieces, or would this be it? If this is it, the most important thing is floors, walls, and corners. You can't build anything without those. Make sure you are getting enough. I like the first pledge more if that's the case.

Can my answer simply be "Dwarven Forge terrain"? I use my flip maps/printout so much more often than I use DF, but I can't refrain from amassing a huge collection.
Stole the words right out of my typing fingers.
