Re: Epic spiral stairs

One of the first things I did with my stairs, great minds and all that! Sad it doesn't quite rest on the floor pieces, though, and stretches beyond 180 degrees. It does fit around a 4" tower or 2 rounded KS1 corner tiles. I'm particularly excited that we can do a raised dais with the 4" KS4 tower wa...

A Brief Look at Factory Paint

Just wanted to post a reference pic for anyone looking to copy the KS5 paint scheme. I've added a comparison of my paint scheme, which is based on Pokorny Base Gray and a variety of drybrush layers and earth tones airbrushed onto the bricks (two overbrushed gray highlights, five airbrushed brick col...

Re: Convince me NOT to repaint all my caverns...

Here's a look at the three different cavern paint jobs I've got (just now remembered I have lava too, but those aren't in competition for any new pieces). The more I look at it, the more I'm leaning towards 2.0's paint job and overall tones. Caverns 1.0 http://i.imgur.com/4Z0cLSQl.jpg Caverns 2.0 ht...

Re: Airbrush

Yes— this is super helpful! Thank you @ iPaint — I’ll post more questions once I get going. :-) Do you have any perfered paint brands that you recommend? I’ll start with DF and thin them a bit per your recommendation, but I’ll need a few other color options also. I’m a huge fan of your village pain...

Re: Forest pricing

Ugh, that's gonna hurt my wallet. May have to do forests purely in pledge manager.

Re: Airbrush

I use an Iwata Eclipse HP-CS gravity feed airbrush and a Sparmax TC-2000 compressor for my dungeon stuff as it's easy to clean and provides a decent amount of precision, with a moisture trap between the hose and brush. I use my Sotar 20/20 for detailed stuff like my 1/72 tank camouflage. Thin your p...

Re: Post Your Cavern Paint Jobs

Caverns to match my Erinthor Mountains - can probably be done in pure Pokorny Paints if you don't mind mixing.

Convince me NOT to repaint all my caverns...

With all of the new pieces coming out in KS6, and seeing how many of them will play nicely with Erinthor Mountain pieces, I'm trying very hard to not repaint my 3+ sets of caverns, plus several addons, to better match my custom EM paintjob. Below are some sample KS2 pieces I did that follow the same...

Re: KS5 Passages vs KS2 Passages

I think KS2 wins out on 1" wide passages by padding the spacing between the walls a bit better than pure 1" wide tiles for KS5 (they're too narrow imo for passages, but would make great interior walls for closets and the like), and I think a combo of 2 and 5 works well for 2" wide passages, allowing...
