Very Cool, that's an impressive 4Ground Inn in the foreground. ;)
I love it in general, and found building it very satisfying.
However, all that roof makes the whole thing very tan for my tastes. I have some blue/slate tiles to put on it, but haven't gotten around to it yet. Maybe next year?

Manticore Attack

Last night's game featured an assault on a town by evil elves mounted on manticores. While the PCs dealt with that, a street gang used the distraction to try to rob a warehouse belonging to an associate of the PCs. This session was the first time I've used my finally painted street pieces, so I was ...

Re: Epix Haven

The $60 and $70 price on Amazon right now is much better than their usual price. I bought mine on sale for around $100 and was happy with them. I don't need more, but kind of want to buy another free standing tower just because that price is so good.

Re: Epix Haven

Great, thanks! Those are fantastic pictures! I like how seamless it looks to fit with the various DF elements. And are there two different towers? Amazon has a Corner Tower that's $10 more than the freestanding tower, but they both look the same. The corner tower has openings on two sides that matc...

Re: Greetings from the Forge! (now with 50% more greetings)

In the late 90s-early 2000s I went to a LOT of NERO LARP events at various campgrounds. Chasing monsters (or being chased) through the woods at 2 AM is ridiculously fun, and the long-running games build up serious character history. I don't LARP now, but most of my weekly D&D group are guys I met at...

Ogre Watchtower

Just a quick and dirty ogre watchtower/projectile platform I threw together for a game last night. At one point Glitterdust blinded the ogre with the catapult backpack. As I moved him around to show his blind stumbling, I accidentally knocked some of the rubble wall bits onto his friend below. The f...

Re: Shipping Update Please

When I order a steak from the restaurant, I absolutely refuse to eat any bread or salad until my steak arrives... because I won't know if I want any bread or salad until my steak arrives. When I give a contractor $5,000 to fix up my house and a year later no fixes are complete, I'm happy to give hi...

Re: Realm of the Ancients in Dwarvenite?

On a related note - i still have a box of Castle stuff next to my desk (some of it unopened) - i mentioned to my wife that i had no idea where i was going to put the (rather large) box of KS V when it arrives She looked at me and said "Well, if you have more than you can store then you won't be buy...
