Re:Leaky Pipe - Don't Need a Plumber, Need Painter

If you don't have one, they are easy enough to sculpt with polymer clay. You could make just the head of one and stick it inside of a pipe. Deep enough in to make players have to look, but far enough out that it's possible to spot.

You have Splinter, so where's the turtles?

It looks good. I particularly like the rusty bit under the pipe.

Re:Leaky Pipe - Don't Need a Plumber, Need Painter

I used male and female mages plus a small castle all done in pewter. They were part of a lot of figures bought on eBay. They aren't miniature scale, each is about 2.5"-3" tall.

<r>The photos I posted are my builds. The Egyptian Bath was actually my first attempt at doing water. Bruce Hirst has a lot of great tutorials on his site including water effects. <br/> <URL url="http://www.hirstarts.com/tips15/tips15.html#pools">http://www.hirstarts.com/tips15/tips15.html#pools</UR...

Re:LadySabelle/Shurri Catacombs

<t>dndgamer are you asking if I'm selling the painted obelisks? If so there's a bit of a wait as I've been asked by several people for obelisks. These are prototypes so I can only cast one at a time, which makes them time consuming. Add to that the 9-12 steps it takes to paint one of these... and th...

Re:LadySabelle/Shurri Catacombs

jls304 I thought I'd share the obelisks painted using the granite style. It was really hard to photograph and get the details. So in the end I just held it into the light and took the shot.

Re:LadySabelle/Shurri Catacombs

<t>A few things to say in defense of using HA molds and an inexpensive material like Hydrostone: Even if you chip or break a piece its easy enough to repair or even remake. Material costs are very low, you can expand your inventory whenever you have the time, and you don't have to worry about someth...

Re:LadySabelle/Shurri Catacombs

<t>Here's one suggestions for using your bone tiles if you don't want to actually mod the Game Tiles. Get some Sculpey polymer clay (or the Micheal's store brand Craftsmart clay which is firmer and cheaper) Roll some out to the depth of the bone tiles. You can make the piece either the full width/he...

Re:LadySabelle/Shurri Catacombs

<t>I actually registered during the KS. I just haven't been haunting the DF forums since I'm so intrenched in the HA site. I hadn't ever considered DF for terrain because of it's aversion to fire. But my husband asked me to start making pieces for our game sessions so I though that Dwarvenite was th...
