Re:What kind of clay do you guys use?

<r>I can't work quickly or for very long periods of time because I get migraines too easily. So I take frequent breaks. Green Stuff requires building up rather than working with a full lump of the stuff. It's a technique I haven't learned/mastered, so its just easier for me to work with clay that wo...

Re:What kind of clay do you guys use?

<t>The "Green Face" and the wall tiles picture at the very top are from a very famous dungeon. My husband has been trying to get me to build the thing for years, so I started sculpting pieces for it. I've also done a pointing skeleton too. I occasionally sell casts of those pieces, so if you want so...

Re:What kind of clay do you guys use?

<r>The main question is what kind of things are you trying to sculpt? If you are looking for very clean, crisp edges (like for bricks or tiles that will fit together well) you want a firmer clay. If you are doing light, fine details and/or very organic forms (like faces, leaves) then a softer clay w...

Re:MBA Kickstarter

If you have a basement or garage with exposed ceiling joists, you could make some storage shelves like these from the July issue of Wood Magazine:

Re:Leaky Pipe - Don't Need a Plumber, Need Painter

If you don't have one, they are easy enough to sculpt with polymer clay. You could make just the head of one and stick it inside of a pipe. Deep enough in to make players have to look, but far enough out that it's possible to spot.

You have Splinter, so where's the turtles?

It looks good. I particularly like the rusty bit under the pipe.

Re:Leaky Pipe - Don't Need a Plumber, Need Painter

I used male and female mages plus a small castle all done in pewter. They were part of a lot of figures bought on eBay. They aren't miniature scale, each is about 2.5"-3" tall.

<r>The photos I posted are my builds. The Egyptian Bath was actually my first attempt at doing water. Bruce Hirst has a lot of great tutorials on his site including water effects. <br/> <URL url="http://www.hirstarts.com/tips15/tips15.html#pools">http://www.hirstarts.com/tips15/tips15.html#pools</UR...

Re:LadySabelle/Shurri Catacombs

<t>dndgamer are you asking if I'm selling the painted obelisks? If so there's a bit of a wait as I've been asked by several people for obelisks. These are prototypes so I can only cast one at a time, which makes them time consuming. Add to that the 9-12 steps it takes to paint one of these... and th...
