Re: Thoughts about tiered layouts with KS6

For one thing, it does mean you can use these walls as a natural segue up to a higher level. And I think I'll end up doing that a lot. Right, that's what they will be really nice for, aside from making a "bump" to offset a special feature of a cavern etc. I don't think you'll need many, in fact I j...

Re: Kickstarter 6.66

Im glad they decided to use 4x4 tiles. The "lava falls" are pretty cool looking. Looks like it would be hard to maneuver without dipping your toes in lava ...

The Gate is by far the coolest part of that build.

Re: What do you play with DF?

I use the terrain mainly for D&D. But also skirmish style combat games and rule sets. Builds are usually smallish, but this stuff has really added to the theme and enjoyment of our games. On a related note ... it has become obvious that my maps are now drawn with DF pieces in mind  see if you...

Re: Thoughts about tiered layouts with KS6

Or lots of Japanese foam blocks. I bought one elevation stilt pack just to play around with, but I expect to just use foam for elevation as always. Can anyone explain the rising elevation walls to me? The walls go from short to tall, but the floor seems to be level. Not sure where these would be us...

Re: Orc Stronghold

This is such a nice build, from the multiple levels, to the eye-appeasing symmetry ... right to the cool wood table you built it all on :D . This is about the largest build I would do myself, as I often have to transport (via terrain trays ) my encounter areas. I will be trying to make something sim...

I cut risers for this set too. [URL=https://s980.photobucket.com/user/CRTraylor3499/media/KSV/IMG_3607.jpg.html] I will paint the risers gray. I use black primmer for foam. It is possible to texture the foam edge. This is a great idea Oldent! One step up and it would add to the organic look overall...

Re: Favorite RESIN Line/Theme

I really like it for a transition piece to another level, while at the same time a nice crossroads of passages. Plus the "modular" pit area can be filled or left empty to make passage easier/harder. I think it is so versatile and the stairs/elevation adds a nice quality to building with it. I threw ...
