Re: KS8 - "Civil" Lands (maybe)?

Crops are relatively easy. Make a 4"-6" long row of corn, magnetize the bottom. Offer a "plot pack" of 4-6 of these. Line them up on a terrain tray and boom, instant small farm. I don't mind if they'd include the above and some farmstead type pieces, but honestly I'd rather see a...

Re: Hellscape Received - Impressions

Also, I forgot to mention the finish. Some people have remarked on the glossiness of the black stone paint. I find it to be more a "satin" than real gloss, and I don't mind it. It has kind if a "scoured and polished by heat" look. If I were painting them I'd probably go more matt...

Hellscape Received - Impressions

Finally unboxed my Hellscape Third Circle + Extras boxes last night. It was more stuff than I expected, when unboxed it filled one of the large boxes it came in to overflowing. It looks like plenty to make a small dungeon or one large epic cavern encounter. The quality of the paint is very good, som...

I'm REALLY not a fan of censorship, even when it is "polite"... and as I pointed out once before, I think it is actually harmful to DF, their product, and their customers.

Re: How tall are Erinthor Cliffs?

I‘m very happy that they stick to the original scale of the erinthor mountains. I like my mountains a lot and looking forward to expend my Erinthor mountains with new cool modular 2x1/2x2 tiles. It seems they offer as well „transition“ tiles to get 50mm solutions (ER 705 to ER 708) for some of the ...

Re: Hellscape too glossy?

AK interactive Ultramatte varnish is the best varnish to kill shine IMO. It brushes on or airbrushes equally well, and is so matte it’s amazing. Oh, and it’s dry in 5 minutes. Never frosts or has other defects that Dullcote can get. If it were me I’d lightly brush it onto my Hellscape pieces, being ...

Re: Mountain compatibility

Cave cliffs and Erinthor cliffs are different heights, they do not just fit together. You have to adjust, shim, or live with a non-flush lip.

This was something that pissed me off when I went heavy in cave cliffs then found they did not match up.

I love DF, but this is maddening.

Re: How tall are Erinthor Cliffs?

Erinthor Cliffs? (ER-701 to 704) (From Tyler in Valoria) They are 40mm. They are meant to fit the same height as the original Erinthor. So, they are DIFFERENT heights than the KS6 cliffs? :( I think at this point there’s only one conclusion possible: DF wants to keep an indoor scale and an outdoor ...

Re: New Add-ons added...

Nice work on the boat, it seems like a better deal than the previous one, while having some neat new features. I'll be getting one.

I do think DF missed an opportunity to have a peg hole in the bottom with a mast/sail, but that's a tiny quibble.

Re: Impressions so far of Wildlands Kickstarter

If they do add on packs correctly then the issue of broad vs. deep may go away. For me it is going to be heavy on banks, escarpments, and any new floors. Assuming they do add on packs correctly... Well, sort of. Who wants to spend $2640 and then have to spend yet more to get the pieces needed to ef...
