Re: Most wanted piece?

I wish the waterfall was built as a multi-piece trifecta with removable sides, so we could add them together to make waterfalls of arbitrary width.

Re: First Hellscape Build - using no negative terrain or lights

Zenako, looking back at the KS pics, it looks to me like you have more lava river pieces than the factory encounters...did you buy more or is that the base Third Circle only?

Thanks for the pictures of the painted lava. I've made 3 builds with my stuff already, but since it's unpainted they look more like fields of frozen orange juice. ;)

Re: First Hellscape Build - using no negative terrain or lights

I also got the third circle, it looks like it covers quite a bit of area. Your pics also make me glad I opted to skip the light panels, the lava doesn't need them and it's one less fiddly thing to deal with.

Very nice build, and the paint quality of the HS pieces looks quite good!

I'd be fine with a shift to 30mm or even 32mm squares. But whatever scale is chosen...just make it all the same, for the love of DOOM!

Re: What‘s your first impression of the new battleboards?

I wouldn't go that far, but I'd say to definitely include 2x2's in the product offerings. I would have preferred a 4x4 Dreadhollow system from a functionality perspective, though they said they largely did 6x6 for aesthetic reasons. 8x8's could have also increased the costs exponentially. We'll nev...

Re: What‘s your first impression of the new battleboards?

Wow Water Tiles and scale. Has this turned into a therapy session for all those DooFers that DF have abandoned because they wont produce exactly what each DooFer wants? Well... I think you have apples and oranges here (or chalk and cheese since you are in the UK). Sure, water tile complaints are a ...

Re: What‘s your first impression of the new battleboards?

I have been a DF customer since 2003, when it was just Stephan in his loft casting stuff. But honstly, I think I might be done. It's not that DF products are worse, if anything they are improving. CD and DoD were brilliant and look great. I love my CBS sets, and wish I had more. BUT THE SCALE! For a...

I'd say I'm "skeptical but curious.".

If you are going to have something flat with no texture, it's pretty hard to beat a vinyl mat. But I have an open mind and am open to being convinced.

I was skeptical of terrain trays too, and now I quite like them.

Re: Preference of medium for sculpting your own pieces?

I use Miliput for filling and reshaping, and green stuff for making things that have to hold their own shape.
