Re: Airbrush

Yes— this is super helpful! Thank you @ iPaint — I’ll post more questions once I get going. :-) Do you have any perfered paint brands that you recommend? I’ll start with DF and thin them a bit per your recommendation, but I’ll need a few other color options also. I’m a huge fan of your village pain...

Re: Forest pricing

Ugh, that's gonna hurt my wallet. May have to do forests purely in pledge manager.

Re: Airbrush

I use an Iwata Eclipse HP-CS gravity feed airbrush and a Sparmax TC-2000 compressor for my dungeon stuff as it's easy to clean and provides a decent amount of precision, with a moisture trap between the hose and brush. I use my Sotar 20/20 for detailed stuff like my 1/72 tank camouflage. Thin your p...

Re: Post Your Cavern Paint Jobs

Caverns to match my Erinthor Mountains - can probably be done in pure Pokorny Paints if you don't mind mixing.

Convince me NOT to repaint all my caverns...

With all of the new pieces coming out in KS6, and seeing how many of them will play nicely with Erinthor Mountain pieces, I'm trying very hard to not repaint my 3+ sets of caverns, plus several addons, to better match my custom EM paintjob. Below are some sample KS2 pieces I did that follow the same...

Re: KS5 Passages vs KS2 Passages

I think KS2 wins out on 1" wide passages by padding the spacing between the walls a bit better than pure 1" wide tiles for KS5 (they're too narrow imo for passages, but would make great interior walls for closets and the like), and I think a combo of 2 and 5 works well for 2" wide pas...

Re: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Painted request

I'd argue that the "expertly hand painted" label DF gives the painted game tiles is a bit of a stretch from a literal standpoint. As evident by the 1x1 wall piece above, the factory paint job consists of 7-8 painted stones in an olive brown color and a drybrush in an ivory color. That's tw...

Re: Underdoom Pictures and Analysis

Seems the color scheme is very similar to what I landed on for a test set of Underdark caverns.

Re: KS 6 paint color compared to KSV

I hope the factory realizes Erin's approach to the colors and nails it. At the scales they're producing these and needing to paint them, I would doubt the factory pieces get the attention the resin prototypes received. An approximation would probably be the end result, though in reality, if DF want...
