Re: Ledges thoughts...

One of the floors is hollow; they put the magnet in and then glue a textured floor cap over it (similar to the vaulted magnetic wall solution, but the cap seems to be regular Dwarvenite in this case, not flexible).

Re: Ledges thoughts...

The ledges are double-sided, so it would be detrimental to use an external magnet.

Ledges thoughts...

I've unpacked Lava Bridge 2 and immediately paid attention to the ledge set. I have to say, I'll be getting some use out of those! There are a few things good and bad... The good - the rough terrain is spectacularly rough. The pictures didn't express the level of texture in those tiles. I love them ...

Re: There now. That wasn't too bad, was it?

Nice build and painting! And I recognized it before you identified the encounter. I had so much fun running my PCs through that one... I'm going to have fun with this once it's properly elevated! My mythic PCs are largely wiping the walls with the encounters so far. (Poor, poor Scorizscar, ambushed...

Re: KS5 Passages vs KS2 Passages

I've been good with the passage pieces in KS5 so far, but that mechanism isn't so good with caverns. I think the KS6 trifecta pieces could work really well for narrow passage builds as a kind of stand-in for the metal tabs in KS5, but you'd have to get enough pieces...

Re: Darkhollow Forest - DF!

I'm half-dreading Darkhollow Forest. I'm trying to keep costs down to put my spouse through another semester of college, and forests could suffer. I have a bit of apprehension about the execution, but it's DF - in DF we trust.

Re: Strategies for Newbies

I'm looking at one of each of the KS2 Basic, Varied, Assortment, and Floor packs. There's no right answer there - they're each decent sets. Perhaps start at the beginning and work your way through?

Re: There now. That wasn't too bad, was it?

Great job It is such a nice clean dungeon, do you plan to leave it new and classy or do you plan to dirty it up with a dry brush? The gray and black have been dry brushed, but I plan to leave the red marble clean. For lower-class establishments I'll use classic dungeon pieces, and I will only be do...

Re: There now. That wasn't too bad, was it?

FYI this is an attempt at a Pathfinder AP build - Arueshalae's Redoubt from Wrath of the Righteous vol 3. It takes every floor tile and almost every wall tile I got in DoD Encounters 1-6 plus an extra #4. I'm short of stairs and filler (have been using double passage walls) and I have been using fal...

Re: There now. That wasn't too bad, was it?

There are a few floor tiles I over-painted. Right now coverage is more important than consistency. I filled the 4x4 floor cracks in the middle with clear Gallery Glass. I was a bit impatient, so there are a few bubbles. I wanted to create a flatter feeling for marble tiling, but didn't want to lose ...
