We are pretty certain there are multiple sculpts per mold, as we believe the molds are of a certain size and as each mold is 10k to produce then grouping up sculpts into 1 mold makes sense. I think there are two main issues with the idea of selling individual parts. First, the molds they use are big and make lots of pieces at once, so every time they want some of piece A they also get a bunch of piece B, C, D, etc. If they sold them individually they risk ending up with growing stockp...

For mortar I always went darker than the basecoat, so I could just do a dark wash.

I think it's just my frame of mind. I really can't get bothered about the different scales. For the vast majority of my TTRPG life it was all theatre-of-the-mind, anyway. The terrain is good, but definitely not the be-all and end-all.
