Re: Top of the List in Posting to Forum

I haven't been posting as much lately, I seem to be falling behind. I'll have to see if I can find a few good excuses to post some interesting things in the near future...

Re: Why do so few miniature painters use oil paints?

Model painters sometimes use them over a seal coat for acrylic to create greater realism and depth for wood, marble, or other surfaces that would have such depth. The dry times are pretty bad though, even if the results are pretty impressive.

Re: Dwarven Forge Branding

I think they could easily just use a print on demand site and have no inventory risk. But then they can't control quality. Places like Cafepress do shirts, mugs, etc. You can still get some quality control by choosing which options customers can select (i.e. no cheap garbage options). It isn't just...

Re: Monster Terrain

I picked these up for my docks and they are awesome. https://www.etsy.com/listing/663185016/complete-set-docks-bridge-walkway-height?ref=shop_home_feat_3&frs=1 Thanks for the link, those seem pretty good for docks. I just have to decide if I'm making my own quays or buying some and I'll be most...

Re: Non DF pre painted dungeon accessories

I have also ordered from JAHecker on Ebay. I was very pleased with his work. It is often made to order, so it does take a bit more time than usual and I did find him a bit slow to respond to messages, but he definitely delivers and it is good quality. Another good trick is to make friends with peopl...

Re: Monster Terrain

I do fear though that I will be giving up on DF docks and going another route. Don't get me wrong, I love DF and their products, but I can't keep holding off on getting docks. My seafaring campaigns have need of them. Maybe this one will offer enough to pull me in for some outdoor goodies though.

Re: WizKids dungeon tiles

The low height walls makes them a non-starter for me. What I will hope to see out of their line are more accessories and accent pieces I can mix into what I have. I have no problem mixing and matching, I have some MBA stuff, some 4Ground stuff, other laser cut terrain, DF, and a handful of random re...

Re: Dwarven Forge Branding

Shirts are inexpensive, easy (you can get everything done by someone else besides the initial design and sell just above cost), and something nearly all of us would wear. They really need to happen. Also, I bought a phone case from a company here in Indiana called Carved . It has worked well (severa...

I like all these...although of scenic effect having the whole thing built is really nice....[/color] The Chief Least Weasel of Valoria (Pretendant) Totus KS Delenda Sunt I agree, but the scale of many locales makes it impossible on my budget. I'd realistically need to win the lottery to try to buil...

Re: Wyrmwood Table Tiles Kicksrarter

As much as I love to play certain systems, I will ebb and flow with my players. I'd rather play and have people to play with than make it an issue and lose the potential to game as often as I can. I'm currently playing PF but I prefer 5E. (Started in 3E) I hate the HUGE amount of options for player...
