Re: The PM closed two months ago.

While the hoary old adage "no news is good news" is partially true in this case, DF is also pretty good at no news period. In Castles, DF made quite a few changes to pieces, and dwarvenite colors and the first anyone found out was when packages stared being opened. Plus remember Sizegate....

Re: Caverns on German Convention "DreieichCon"

Nice use of the 45-degree turns. When I use them I've generally put them close together for short, twisty little passages. But, seeing this layout, I think spreading them out works much better. Thanks!

Re: The PM closed two months ago.

From past experience with DF, no news is good news. Until the big things happen (pallets full of painted pieces are stacked in the factory or a ship leaves port) -- then the new may start to come out. DF has never been one of those companies that sends out a series of monthly/weekly "we're all ...

To be fair, most of the time there isn't much reason to think about other things.

Re: tabletopblacksmith KS boat, tree and more till Nov 16

I'm still on the fence. I like the tree design and don't have enough trees of other sorts that I'd have to ignore to use these. However, they're resin. I just got rid of my resin DF (young boys like to play, and I just don't trust them with resin and hard floors) -- so I don't want to go down that r...

Re: Ice Caverns painted?

i have also seen people ho painted the underside blue... lends a nice cast to the whole piece That's what I did with mine. The trick, I think, is to get an ink/wash (I used a thinner on a paint to mixed results) in the teal range. Then dry brush an off white on the top surface. Too white looks unna...

Selling blood plasma for gaming supplies is a late stage? I've been doing that for decades...

If we are talking about interventions and maybe a group deal on therapy -- please sign me up. I'm fairly certain I've taken a year or two off of my marriage or my life with this one. Painting a Sorceror's Sanctum, a bunch of ruins, and a gatehouse upgrade have made me shy away a bit from painting th...
