Re: Post LowTown Survey - What one thing Do You Want in Hightown
Well for me, since I ordered almost everything unpainted, the shifts in color will be entirely my choice if I want to have new shades to mix into builds, or the same as KS3 and just have a variety of new build options that blend together better colorwise. That is one of the benefits of painting the...

Re: Post LowTown Survey - What one thing Do You Want in Hightown
But once we do, we are very much looking forward to building it with KS3/4 and Wildlands, different styles we do not see as a problem, we think a city of KS3/4 and CULT will look fabulous. Oh, I agree. I do think a full city of KS3/4 and CULT is going to look great. I'm just not sold -- yet, at lea...

Re: Post LowTown Survey - What one thing Do You Want in Hightown
I find that, the more time passes, the more I'm changing my expectations about CULT. I haven't radically changed my mind or anything, I still am happy with what I backed and I look forward to using it -- but I am less excited about some pieces than others. This usually happens to me when there's a &...

Re: NEW DF "Kickstarter/GameFound" announced for SciFi
My issue with 3D printing is simple: it's a slippery slope. I collect a lot of lines, and there are some that are, by their very nature, at least mostly finite. It's possible to "complete" them, or at least to complete an obvious "core." Once you have Luke, Han, Leia, Darth Vader...

Re: NEW DF "Kickstarter/GameFound" announced for SciFi
Having bought more Skaven at Unplugged this weekend, anyone who says our terrain is overpriced but buys Warhammer models makes no sense to me QFT. DF is undeniably a prestige product, but gaming as a whole is also undeniably a high priced market. IMO, it's not even GW stuff per se that's the worst ...

Ha! YES!
And I didn't know that about the facades -- that does make sense. I will say, while I didn't like the elven facades, I really like the ivy. I picked some up and I'm looking forward to using it.

Re: Post LowTown Survey - What one thing Do You Want in Hightown
I don't think I saw what I want most -- filigree! I won't get it. :P In my mind, a wealthy urban fantasy setting should look like this: comm-314-2013-02-1a.jpg To do this, I'd need all the decorative filigree to be integrated into the sculpt -- windows, doors, little "railings" atop walls ...

9/29 update -- there was an announcement of a shipping date in April! Aaaand we missed it. ;)
So September 28, a few days ago, was officially seven months since the campaign ended -- by which I mean the actual KS campaign was closed, no more backers were permitted to join, it was done. Of course, the PM phase lasted much longer. I could not, for the life of me, remember DF giving any kind of...

Re: Did Lowtown have a rockstar piece?
For me, I pledged because of the Water Wheel. As always, I'm a micro backer. The Water Wheel is just soooooo coool! It's the piece I just had to have that can easily be incorporated with other standard DF pieces and doesn't require many supporting pieces from this KS. You know, with the passage of ...

Re: 9-13-2023 Twitch reveal of new DF Sci-fi
I hope beyond hope that this set is a huge hit -- partly for all the normal reasons, but also because I want to see EXPANSIONS. This looks to be a great start (particularly if we've only seen 50% of what's been sculpted). But I DO want to see LEDs at some point, even if they aren't included here. An...
