Re: Stone advanced builder set. Please help explain
They allow for a section of wall to be two units high without having a floor in the middle. Besides allowing for greater flexibility for those that are imaginative in their CBS builds, these pieces are also part of the chief method by which one can increase the interior size of the gatehouse. https:...

Re: Comparison - Pledge Amount Per Backer
So, I tried running the numbers a different way. This scatter plot shows the average pledge per backer on one axis, and the number of backers on the other. It has the effect of showing what kind of growth was happening in each KS. The more veritical the line, the more the growth came from the additi...

Re: LED Drawbridges
I know that this is probably the DF preference anyway (assuming the manufacturing and cost logistics are workable), but please add my vote to the tally for socketed lights.
Besides the modularity of interchangeable fixtures (or an unlit bridge), socketed lights would have more varied storage options.

Pro tip: If you want to see examples of castle hoardings, don't just put "hoarding" into Google image search.
Yikes.

Re: Comparison - Pledge Amount Per Backer
Given the furious flurry of pretty pledges and generally gratuitous growth yesterday, I wanted to look at how pledge level selection had changed. The Army of the Damned In 3/9/16 to 3/16/16, the KS had +72 net backers, almost entirely from VALORIAN/ADDON backers. However, in 3/16/16 to 3/19/16, the ...

Re: Comparison - Pledge Amount Per Backer
The KS balance went up about $53k in the last two days. It would appear this is mostly from existing backers, since only 14 new backers joined the ranks of the wallet-damned, and they'd be backing at about $3800 each if it was all from them, which seems unlikely. The average doom per backer has incr...

Re: Comparison - Pledge Amount Per Backer
I think I'd really like to see videos showing various builds that can be done with a given set. Some of the builds should also show what you can do when combining with previous DF offerings. These two videos, for example, were really good for helping potential backers and existing backers visualize ...

Re: Comparison - Pledge Amount Per Backer
All aboard the doom train! I've compared pledge levels today and pledge levels from about a week ago. Pledge Selections: The Gatehouse, Ramparts, and Watchtower are all slightly up in backers (+18), but the Castle, Citadel, and Grand Citadel have all done down in net backers (-14). The total number ...

Re: POLL: What will interrupt KS5?
If 2x2 wooden wall/floor/corner pieces were made as part of it, I think parts of the ship sets could have the excellent alternate use of allowing one to build wooden buildings. I don't think DF has really done fully wooden buildings, and I think they'd be well received.
