Re: KS4 Peer Pledge Review

I remember the batter bases being used by themselves as a miniature fighting pit or gladiatorial arena, would look especially neat if you surrounded it with a small crenellated wall where the spectators could watch, jeer, and bet.

I'd buy a (few) KS3 abbey window wall pack in a heartbeat.

Re: Final KSIV pledge

Had to reopen my pledge because there was something I totally missed. Plus I had to change one add-on pack from unpainted to painted. So, here's my final (hah!) pledge: Grand Citadel Watchtower (x2) Small Fortified Tower (x2) Small Palace Tower (x2) GC Inside Walls GC Mega Battlement Pack Battlement...

Re: Helping the Undecided

Hi, period3! I think you might be short on some pieces to be able to do what you want. To take the Count's Castle and make the inner courtyard 16"x16", you will need to extend each of the four walls by 8". This means minimum 2 packs of straight walls and 2 packs of Ramparts inside wal...

Re: Royal Stronghold FAQ - added Double GC comparison builds

If anybody is trying to choose between double-height walls and double-thick walls for a citadel-based build, my opinion is to do double-thick walls first. The scale of the building might look a little off if you have double-high walls encircling a relatively small courtyard (even at 16" x 16&qu...

Re: Battlements Question (Mega Pack)

Cube spacers also make perfectly good elevation blocks. Or huge-ass columns. If you've got double-high walls then you'll need something to support your two-step buttresses.

Re: Can Ravenloft be built with KS4?

And let us not forget, the lower levels and crypts go down below ground about another 120' or so.

I think 3D scale maps of Ravenloft will have to wait until we have true holographic projectors.

Re: Battlements Question (Mega Pack)

I think that you will probably like the look of the GC with the inside wall pack as well as the crenellation pack. The overall effect would look like the walls of the Count's Castle, except longer on each side by 8". And you will have a good-sized (16' x 16') courtyard to put KS3 buildings in it.

Can Ravenloft be built with KS4?

I just purchased a copy of Curse of Strahd, and am having a very good time reading through it. I looked at the dimensions of Ravenloft wondering what it would take to build it with DF pieces, and came to the conclusion that it would be, in a word, ridiculous. The curtain walls that surround the cast...
