Re: “Survey says?”

I filled out my survey! I'm a DF pauper who regularly has to skip lots and lots of great stuff in their KS projects for budget reasons. I'd like to spend $200-300 on Sci-Fi, not $2000-3000. That's why for me it's critical that they go light on the tech bells and whistles (e.g. LEDs) and make stuff t...

Re: Post your pledges here!

I think I've settled on my pledge. It's just over $750 unpainted before shipping. That may seem very small to others, but it's the most I've ever spend on any of the 8 Dwarven Forge Kickstarters and that's even getting everything unpainted to save money. There's just way too much good stuff here, an...

Re: escarpments for erinthor and low budgets

If you already have Erinthor, you can expand your current collectionwithout any escarpments. Escarpments look amazing and are great for quick builds, but they are 50mm vs the 38mm KS4 Erinthor and there are lots of simple Erinthor enhancement sets in Wildlands Some good non-Escarpment Erinthor expan...

Re: Survey out for KS8?

I ended up contradicting myself in the survey. I said I was interested in a Sewers Expansion at the start, and then marked it as one of the 3 themes I was least likely to get (simply because the other ideas looked even better). Too many good choices. I suspect I'm alone in this, but I had farms and ...

Thoughts on Terrain Trays

I'm looking for folks thoughts on guidance on Wildlands terrain trays - not on grid vs. gridless, but on which ones are the most useful and any innovative uses you've planned for them. I'd especially like ideas on other unusual ways they could be used. I don't own any terrain trays, but since I'm ge...

Re: Fogger vs. Huge Hummock? Forest Floor teardrops?

The forest tiles are 6x6 and the fogger is 4x4. The fogger obviously couldn't directly fit under a forest tile on its own, but if you put a forest tile on stilts and put escarpments around it, the fogger should easily fit into the space under the raised forest tile. I'll let those smarter than me an...

Re: The smallest Wildlands pledge????

Wildlands is a totally different matter there is nothing we have seen that we do not think we can use and use over and over again as either scatter or on a completely tiled 6x4 battlescape. For years, I've had all of my glorious DF sets in bins while I repeatedly use cheap flock trees and scratch b...

Re: The smallest Wildlands pledge????

I applaud all of you on your restraint. I was in your small pledge range for DoD and Caverns Deep (pre-Dreadhollow reveal). Wilderness is my favourite terrain setting, so I'm going crazy here trying to keep my pledge from ballooning too much (I'm even going all unpainted to help). It goes to show ho...

Re: So -- October restock? (looks at imaginary watch on wrist)

We're also pushing for more common pre-orders; we've recently brought on Andrew (he does a tabletop podcast called Roll for Persuasion if you've heard of that) to help us modernize our ecommerce and marketing, and we're putting together a variety of plans to basically revamp half of the business mo...

Re: The Abysmal State of Stretch Goals and Pledges

I'm of a different opinion. I think the simplest solution is to get rid of the Stretch Goals alltogether. KS3 (City Builder) was the last time the SG's had a real punch for all backers (free floors, walls and posts). Since then, DF has tried to keep pledge prices as low as possible (despite rising p...
