I think that little extra space in the corner is really important when you have the small tower opening up with a single door. Of course when you do it this way you wonder "why do I even need double doors on the large tower?"

That's part of what makes things so infuriating. It seems like it's going to be two years between the KS ending and some of us finally getting our stuff.

So this was the second part of a large (at least for me) order. I received the Royal Stronghold last month and set-it up. Very impressed. This second half of the order was for a Grand Citadel and lots of extras. I did not unpack the grand citadel yet since it is largely parts to make the RS bigger....

If you don't have rooms sharing a wall I'd actually have prefered the "full floor + tac on wall" approach as well. Even mention this on FB that getting the full 1" floors may make some uses of the KS1 walls obsolete.
