Re: Painted or Unpainted?

Also in the painted crowd although looking to buy some simpler older sets to give it a try (like old cavern stairs in the newer paint scheme). One thing to note though is that many people promote how easy it is to paint but are also far superior painters to the rest of us (I describe machine learnin...

Re: I'm sad - The 25 days of this campaign was awesome

That ties to my number one complaint about this kickstarter: First they get us hooked on the daily twitch streams, and then they take them away!

Re: How can DF keep or raise it's KS backer #s for the next KS

Df could also probably really benefit from selling the non-selling stock off at a bargain just to get rid of it. I am thinking mostly of castles with their multiple very specific levels of items in them, but i think there are also other sets that basically do not sell. If it does not sell, get it o...

Re: Yet another SG idea

Things are inherently cheaper and easier to produce if customers pay for them upfront and wait a year to get them. If for no other reason as there is not financing cost to carry. Hence Stretch Goals reward backers who pay in advance and help DF produce product. I am not advocating more free things ...

Re: Yet another SG idea

Could everybody agree that there is no such thing as "free" stretch goals? If you start from that, then assume that any proposal which leads to an increase in the number of people receiving them without a corresponding decrease in the number of items provided must also include a price incr...

Re: Sell me on the fogger

Thanks (I have trouble keeping up with the Twitch streams - I just can't focus on something for that long to the exclusion of everything else, on a regular basis). I was on the fence about the fogger, but that kills it for me. The need to place an entire layout on some kind of lift just for the sak...

Re: Here is the problem...

I think part of the problem here is - for me at least - choice paralysis. It's the three biome options that make it feel like I'm stretching my pledge too thin in all 3 areas trying to get what I'd consider a base set to work with. Working with the KS1 comparison, it's not only more pieces to choos...

Re: Forest/Erinthor Escarpments Pic

When I look at that picture, I see the same type of color differential as between KSIV Erinthor and KS VI Dreadhollow. It doesn't bother me on those (hadn't even noticed it until the bright white light picture on the stream) so it's likely this will be similar.

Re: Sell me on the teardrop inserts

The hole also allows you to use a KS3 "stair hole" floor on top of a forest tile and have an entrance to a cellar, cave, or ritual chamber under the building. Move the bed/dresser/etc and you can peer directly down into the area below. Pretty cool if you have an adventure that calls for i...
