Re: September release of a new Dwarvenite addon

I think when it comes to plastic injection molds. DF is in the same boat as Reaper. Its too costly. I will say something they COULD do though. They could release smaller pieces in Resin. Décor and such. While that might be slightly pricey for the consumer in comparison. I think it would work to keep...

Re: Fat Dragon Kickstarter - Dragonlock 2

I think that's a very narrow view of copyright. I would agree that big business does benefit far too much due to having dedicated staff and IP lawyers to search for and defend their copyright, and lots of money with which to do that. However, I still think that copyright is essential, especially in...

Re: Fat Dragon Kickstarter - Dragonlock 2

IP rights are supposed to be on a limit. Not indefinite. Having unlimited time means no one can take an idea. Improve upon and claim to be their own. Instead their improvement is taken. So it goes both ways. From a business stand point what copy right laws actually do is stifle legit competition. I ...

Re: Fat Dragon Kickstarter - Dragonlock 2

When it comes to tabletop terrain. When it comes to finding a design and method to make it both playable and look great. I think coming as close to DF design is really the only way. Because not only to you open more options for consumers. (which is how it should be, Consumers should be given options...

Re: A Suggestion for the Kickstarter #5

I have been unlucky to miss the first 2 KS and the CBS I didn't miss as it was just bad timing for my wallet. I didn't get into KS 4 because there was just too much. I think smaller generic pieces for KS 5 might be a better way to to do it. I wouldn't mind some furniture like books shelves and potio...

Re: A Suggestion for the Kickstarter #5

I feel compelled to state that I would not be interested in anything that would be considered "outdoors", that is in the sense of tiles reflecting grasslands. For this a mat serves the purpose much better, and I think that the sheer amount of coverage would be problematic. I am one of tho...

Re: A Suggestion for the Kickstarter #5

Renaissance Miniatures did a pretty big Eastern village KS a couple years back. It is laser cut wood, so it isn't everyone on this forum's cup of tea, but it did pull in a fairly large number of people and do rather well. I'm not sure how easy it would be for DF to tap that same market though. The ...

Re: A Suggestion for the Kickstarter #5

I think my number 1 thing for me. Is trees. I really want something that looks awesome. Is almost indestructible and having the ability to put miniatures in them. I wouldn't mind seeing an expansion on things to populate all this terrain. With bookshelves and other furniture...Perhaps some more posh...

Re: My First Dwarven Forge Direct Order

My orders keep getting bigger.

I ordered two village sets and I still think I need more. 10 wood and 8 stone floors is just not enough.

Now I'm looking for Cavern sets. Not even sure how much I will need. I have 4 dungeon sets and I still never seem to have enough corners....It never ends!
