I was thinking of heading down to pax just to meet the crew. I work in a game store, so I think we even had tickets under the register... but I messed up my shoulder shoveling Ice and snow and unfortunately it's out of the question.
It's too bad, since I hear Stefan's moving to the West coast, I think this was my last chance to say hello in person.
I doubt it will be your last chance to say hello in person. He may be moving but he will still be going to a ton of conventions all over the country (and world). If this PAX East is successful we will probably be there next year.

I'm sure there's more to it (costs, industry contacts, etc) than the armchair quarterbacking we do here on the forums. :)
Nope we know WAY better than they do - they just work for the company and deal with it every day - we on the other hand have the benefit of a remote perspective we can see the forest and the trees so we of course know best - that’s why were here!!!

I mean realistically without our guidance they probably wouldn’t survive ;)

Is there any Dwarven Army meetup planned for during PAX East? While I'm not attending the con, I would definitely try to make a lunch/dinner gathering near the con venue, etc.
We didn't plan anything but please let me know if someone does!

I am guessing the cost in time and money to drive a few hours up to Boston for a few days is a lot cheaper than sending the same bunch of folks to Unplugged.

unfortunately no, only PAX east, Gen Con, and maybe PAX unplugged but only if PAX east goes well
Seems like that should be the other way around. Isn't PAX Unplugged more for DF's target audience over a traditional PAX?
right, but PAX east is the one happening first
Well, I'm not DF, but I guess all I'm saying is I wouldn't hedge my bets on PAX East when PAX Unplugged is the riper market. I wouldn't make my better shot conditional upon the closer, less likely option. But I'm an outsider looking in; I'm sure there's more to it (costs, industry contacts, etc) than the armchair quarterbacking we do here on the forums. :)
