Re:BIG NEWS! DF Awards EU Distributorship!

Just wanted to add that I placed two recent orders from the EU/UK based DF site only a few weeks ago and am now the proud owner of: Cavernous Lake set, Cavernous River & Walls set, Den of Evil: Hellscape set and Wicked editions 3 set.
These were very quickly dispatched. I had emails from the UK based team regarding my shipment and the Shipping Manager and Jens/Thod contacted me and explained that they had consolidated my two orders and they saved me even further shipment costs.
All four boxes cost me only £14.00
DF have now removed the issues with both the cost of shipment and import duties/tax to me here in Great Britain as well as Europe as a whole.
I am certain that this will make a big difference to the many people in Europe who also want to own DF sets, but are put of by those purchasing issues.
I am eagerly awaiting more sets to become released and made available to your EU site, we are slightly behind the main USA site in terms of sets available etc.
Question ?
Would you consider re-releasing some of the previous sets now Out-of-production for the EU market ??
(There are many I have missed out on over the years that I have to scour ebay and other sites for second hand. )

Keep up the good work. You have my support for the new EU distributor & my money!

Hi Thod,
I emailed to info@dwarvenforge.eu, but the email bounced with 'user unknown'.

As I can't find a PM button on this forum I'll try it this way:

Any idea yet what 3 sets of ice caverns (plus possible freebees?) will
be priced here in Europe?

Everything else being equal, container to the UK instead of USA,
european VAT, profit for you and Stefan, I am mainly hoping for
significantly less shipping costs to get the goodies to my doorstep.

Cheers,
Frits

I probably should have answered this message a lot earlier but it felt a little bit like bait to me. I also still don't know the final selling price as the dollar/pound right now is variable and I won't release a price list before I know fully my own cost or the website goes alive.

Let's get back to your calculation above. You buy 188 Dollar worth of items with a 10 dollar rebate. You are hopefully aware that I can't avoid the VAT selling in Europe - so I have to add 20% or I will be selling below US price.

$188 - add 20% - that makes it $235. This leaves me with $13 for any possible higher cost for Europe and shipping.

You are a tough customer asking this from me :)Yes - I do avoid a clear yes/no on this issue. I can match the price you ask only if I offer rebates or you buy at a convention or otherwise use pickup / I deliver.

And for your own convenience I have added your calculation for a single Cavern Set ahead of the price increase. There you start with $139 and end up at a much higher cost.

Can I beat your cavern set example despite the price increase and despite a worse dollar / Euro exchange. Easy - even if I don't add rebates or free shipping (convention or otherwise) and include my worst forecast for dollar/pound declines.

I try to keep costs down and I will hand on savings if possible. But I have to treat this as a business and not charity.

I hope you understand.

Postage & package to France : 60 dollars (50 for a 89$ set)
Total : 200$
Change in € : 138.975 EUR
Douan Limit : 106€
Order price > 106€ -> douan tax
Douan tax details :
26€ file issue
VAT 19.6% on the total price : 27,44€
Final price : 138 + 27,44 + 26 = 191.44€ for ONE set !!

Dwarf

The quick answer is to selling in Essen - no. The container won't leave China before next year.

The long winded answer - I do have some stock of Out-of-Production Traps Set I as well as Lizard Men tribes and individual trap pieces. The orginal idea was to add them to my store at the end of November. These are old sets - with bow ties. But they are brand new - unopened. I just opened a large box of 6 Trap Sets and 6 Lizard Men tribes to check the packaging is still in undamaged condition.
I also have a single set each of RotA, RotA2 and Hellscape as well as a small number of RotA Entries.
I'm also contemplating to go back to do some building of my own again until I have real stock.

If there is interest - maybe I should bring some with me. I need to check with Richard if I can leave it at his stall as I'm not having a stall there (this year). Richard = Otherworld.

Please drop me a message at thod add loesel dot freeserve dot co dot uk for anyone interested.

Meeting up: The best place would be also at the Otherworld stall. Drop a message with a time. I haven't booked a ferry yet but on Sunday the best is early.

I know people are very interested in the final price. Announcing them now is simple. Someone here just needs to gurantees me that Greek doesn't go bust and financial markets stay as they are until the container arrives. In absence of this I rather prefer to announce them at a later stage.

Will you be selling sets on the game fair in Essen this year, since it seems my wife and me will be present on sunday there. Where will be able to meet you there?
Do you already have a price list for us europeans so I can start planning what priorities to set?

I don't think you should worry to miss out on the cavern set. I took care to order enough (at least that's what I think right now). This is a whole 40 foot container and there fit a lot of sets into such a container. Each of the sets in the FAQ is ordered >50 times. Worst case I really run out of any sets quickly then we will have a new container faster as expected.

So no need to panic. There will be enough time to reserve / preorder your set once the European website is available.
