Maybe they can have open water as a KS4 add on and then include it with the big kick starter order to reduce the price/shipping etc.
Hopefully with a KS2 wicked water caverns.

Disappointing but I'll survive.

And who knows, if they had ordered more, maybe they could have made enough quantity to offer them at a lower price. $32 for unpainted open water is the same price per piece as the regular painted water set.

They lasted a day or two? I didn't even know they were in stock. How many sets did they order? Disappointing for sure.

Yea that did go fast . I am afraid that DF underestimated the need/want for unpainted open water tiles. That is why I wish they would do more pre-orders that way they would know that at least X amount was going to sell. I guess I will just wait and hope there is another restock on them.

I bought some glass 4x4 clear glass flint plates that I am going to paint the bottoms and use as city Canal tiles as an alternative to 4x5 resin water tiles.

It looks like there are still painted open water tiles in stock, just no unpainted ones.

As an alternative to unpainted water tiles - You can probably find ceramic tiles that are exactly 2x2 inches, and hotglue them back to back to get them to the appropriate thickness. I've done this a few times, and they're workable enough for water tiles when painted.

A 1'x1' section of these tiles (thus providing you with 36 of them) is normally about $10, less if it's in the clearance section.

I was one who asked for open water tiles. And now I have to wait who knows how long.

Granted my cavern water sets are still unpainted. I still know that open water is very important to me. I was expecting a couple 4x4 open water tiles in the pack too. Isn't it obvious that would sell, probably enough to justify making that mold?

I hope they restock them when the KS4 items arrive next year.
