We had a great time gaming with you and the boys as well. When are you in Seattle next? I would love to host another forum member game in the future. Maybe Jasdotcom and William could make it :D
Count me IN! I was just thinking of you today, decided to run a search on the forums, and was gifted this incredible set-up! I've always thought the look of the RotA set seemed to pigeon-holed for my budget, but after looking at what you've done with it I'm now regretting all of the purchase opportunities I've passed up :)
I have three sets coming TODAY!!! :D :D :D

Two RotA sets#2 and One RotA set#1. They were the last new sets at a store in Europe and cheaper than the used sets on eBay even with the "slow-assed" shipping. I'm waiting at the window as I'm writing this, they've been in the mail system for 27 days. With my luck, they'll get pushed back another day. I'm so excited to get them in my hands NOW. Too bad the postal service usually delivers after 4:30 in the afternoon.
thrummmmmmmmm .........Well ?

I don't visit the forum often these days. Setups like this one is what gets me right back into being a regular forumite.

Thank You Feymous!

Another beautiful set-up!

I really like the way the lilly pads change the nature of the water tiles. Where did you get them?

Cheers

Feymous, you always have the most delicately constructed, beautiful sets!

And she's a wonderful DM as well.

Wish we were in Seattle - we loved gaming with you and Spousal unit. This campaign looks like a lot of fun. SHow us the final boss encounter!

We just contacted our Seattle friends to begin the annual vacation planning cycle. I for one am pushing for at least one trip to Seattle.

I've gamed with a very large number of people, and I have found no one - espeically no couple - who put excellent game design, fun DM-ing and graciousness together as you and your husband do. Very much look forward to seeing both of you again.

BTW, no, I haven't forgotten Spousal Unit's name - I just don't generally put people's Real World name in here until they do.

One thing we just noticed and realised you do in your pictures Feymous is you edit out the background, we assume the starry sky is a CG background rather than a physical backdrop.

It really helps you focus on the rather marvellous subject matter:)

With our pictures we don't do that and I think the background clutter distracts the viewer as well as ruin the illusion of viewing a different world, rather than models on a table.

This is something we are looking into, but mostly setting up cloth backdrops rather than post processing our pictures. But we will have to look into picture editors.

Inspiring pictures and something to aspire to - thanks again :)
Yep, I use Gimp to edit all my photos (it's free). I tried physical backdrops, like the image below, but love the diversity I get from editing any image I can find on Google into a background. I've even used video game screen shots as the backdrop for a setup since it allowed me to capture screen shots from angles consistent with my photos...Yes I'm obsessive, but you could probably have guessed that already :?
Thanks for the reply :)

We suspect that a single colour backdrop (greenscreen) would help with the editing - have used Gimp before but only used limited functionality.

We have used themed backdrops but as you say more often as not the aspect is wrong.

We like the idea of using computer games to screen capture the correct aspect background as even Google might not find you the exact background your after.
We think Skyrim would be a good place for us to start :)
