This sounds like a really wild campaign!!! Great story and cool builds, what more could you want?

And another session was had by all yesterday. After getting back to base and finding out the other snake high priest set wearer had arrived and then disappeared to a hideaway locally, the party spoke to the local lord who was worried about the influence of said high priest.


Looking around the party found a man who worked as a middleman between people seeking items and adventurers dumb enough to go after them. This time the man wanted a frame that had ritual divination abilities. Previous parties had partially explored the ruins where the frame was reputed to be but had only made it to the first major room. The party was able to clear the main room of goblins without a fight and then the first three challenge rooms with fights in all cases, but without getting hurt too much.

The party managed to get themselves in trouble again. aFter being advised by the kobold being, they learned that now that the snake demon was well sealed away, some of the monsters (and potentially the Goddess of Magic's followers) would start returning to this world as the world they escaped to was more dangerous than the real world, but far safer than the real world with the snake demon runnin around in it. The kobold then directed them to the nearest paint one could easily pass to the world where the monsters and Goddess of Magic's followers had gone.

They arrived just as a tribe of ratmen were confronting three hill giants that had just emerged from the portal. After quickie negotiations on which the rats stood firm on not giving shinies for getting rid of the hill giants, the party got them to promise to teach them undercommon, a language they desperately needed to learn. The combat then ensued, with the hill giants certain the characters were squishies and not metal men, of whom they were wary. In the first found of combat two criticals and a sneak attack by the rogue bloodies one giant and convinced the three they were indeed metal men, causing the giants to flee the field in the second round of combat.

The fight was so fast we got no pictures.

Three weeks later, after learning the basics of undersommon and having a few less dangerous creatures emerge from the pool, and adult volcanic dragon names Esperiii emerged. The dragon was initially wary of the character wearing the snake set, and words flew back and forth, the dragon unsure what to do.

A short 5 or 6 round fight ensued where the party (three fifth level characters) faces a level 15 Elite, so they were pretty much totally outclassed. Still they did some damage to the dragon, dropping him by about 15% of his hit points, and once character almost dying before the dragon decided the wide world had to have easier prey than the three adventurers and flew off.

Sometimes we say the weirdest things in hame. That session was a prime example.

Wow cool dungeon, great imagination, must have been a hoot to play :)
Was just imagining trying to explain it to a non DnD/RPGer ......

The party finished off the sewer area last week and then discovered that only be getting film of water on themselves from the buckets could they enter the dock area.

Upon entering they discovered that the film of water also left them outside of the timestream in the dock area and they could wander at will among the devils and the deadly sharks that could destroy dock tiles.

However the water film kept trying to escape from tehri bodies and rejoin the pool of water under the docks and they had to make continuous rolls to keep it on them. A few times it got off one character, but a splash from the water from another character's bucket restored to character to non time. However they could not move anything in the real timestream, nor affect int in any way. After a bit they started looting the various boxes and bags by splashing them with water and bringing them temporarily into the non-time

But then they really got inventive.

Seeing the nasty looking devils standing around they started splashing them with water and kicking them into the pool below. The devils were mostly dispatched their way as once they hit the pool the film of water dissipated and they were returned to regular time.

Great fun was had by all punting devils into the water.

But eventually rolls were failed and the characters ended up on the real timesteam where the devils and sharks animated and the fight started. Luckily the sharks vastly preferred the taste of devils and spent their time chowing down on them.

The party was able to use the time the sharks were eating devils wisely and after tossing in the last few, were able to slam the portal shot, keeping the snake demon out of their realms perhaps forever, or until ano the high priest of the snake cult opened the portal, which would be a long endeavor.

And the first campaign arc ended quite satisfactorily.
